I don't often do this, but Civ VI gets a hard no from me. It's an amazingly detailed game that does everything right.

However, the devs have introduced a bug A YEAR AGO that they don't want to fix; this bug causes modern era to be unplayable due to either crashes or graphical glitches.

It's cool, often updated, there are many mods. In many ways it has surpassed Warband. The campaign is far more immersive and it's quite well optimized.

It's great until you run out of RAM. But that can be helped ;)

While everything was improved compared to Shadow of Mordor, this game has one serious lack: it's simply not fun. The sieges are very well done, but seem like taken straight out of multiplayer game, and the feel of bot play is strong. The nemesis system is amazing, but after losing ten captains I stopped paying attention. Using miriam to upgrade orcs is tedious and timeconsuming (why can't i select more than one training order?!).

In plus, the fights are considerably harder, and the brutal difficulty is a real challenge. In minus, the sword fight was far more fun in SoM. The execution moves were far more frequent, the fights were flashier and more PowerFantasier. Now the fights are grim struggles for survival - while more challenging, much less visually stunning.

The plot is top notch, with quite a bit of twists.

At a point I found myself wanting to love this game, instead of actually loving it.

I recommend this game if you didn't play shadow of mordor.


i feel like this would be more if there was more emphasis on the sieges being fewer but more varied.

This is the best game I have played until now. Basically it's dwarf fortress, but IMO far better - as it has actual graphics. The developers are very responsive to the players, bugs are fixed fast and the modding community is amazing (looking at you, Fluffy). It's also headed towards massive greatness.

Beware: you can't stop playing this!

Finally a DBZ game that makes you feel like one of the characters. It doesn't (sadly) have the amount of fan-wank DBHeroes has, but it's still a very fun, intuitive game - biggest minus is that it's very grindy.
