one of my favourite open world games of all time (sorry gta 5 and rdr2)

i have played this game a bunch over the years (100%'d it on console), i have always found the story and open world shenanigans of the main game incredible and fascinating, alot of people compare this game to gta but to me i don't really see this game as similar or even like gta, it does things way on its own. open world and mechanics wise (including the combat system), it doesn't feel like a gta clone but rather its own game which i like

the dlc is also cool, it doesn't really do much or add much for me but thats fine, its not really the main focus of the game so it doesn't matter that much.

very fresh and intriguing game (also still the only really good anomaly game to this day), would've loved to have seen other games kill it with this format

Listen, this game is amazing. The boys at Crowbar Collective did an amazing job. The level design, music, pacing, enemies, the weapons! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WERE THEY ALL AMAZING! You can tell when you play, the time and dedication it took for the devs to make this. They really pushed this Engine to its absolute LIMITS! After 2/3rd's of the game is completed, you finally reach Xen. OH MY GOD! I literally came, when I saw Xen, no wonder it took 8 years for Xen to release. It's absolutely beautiful. Much better then the Original's bland Xen. It really feels like it's alive.

But of course, there are some cons with this game. There are some really annoying bugs. Like, every time i start the game, i can't hear my gun for some reason. So, i have to mess around in the audio settings. Also, when I go to Steam Overlay, the HUD is frozen, so I have to load last save or die, just to bring it back. Also, in Interloper, the puzzles feel repetitive and it just drags on too long.

Then, you reach the final boss and my god was that tough but really worth it. Whoever did G-Man's voice did it amazing, too. Overall, I really enjoyed the game. It's everything a Half-Life Fan would want.

"GG, My Game. in a nutshell" 10/10

This game has changed my life. My whole outlook on everything that exists in this world, in fact even in the entire universe. I can never look at anything I know the same way ever again. This game represents emotions most humans could never comprehend. But I can. Thanks to this game I have been awakened to many things previously thought unimaginable. Thank you.

I have wasted several days if not weeks of my life, walking around badwater/dustbowl and would do it all over again. The end.
