Just got to try out the New one FS25 cuz a friend got it for me for my Bday and honestly I'm still stuck on this version atm. Too many bugs in the new version IMO that urk me bad.. Not that this version doesn't have its issues too.... Yes the new version looks amazing but many of the machines are just ported over from previous versions with minor exterior height map and Normal Map changes to make it look slightly more detailed. Interior cabs did get a big upgrade though. Weather system will be cool when i get to experience it but after only 33 hours i have yet to see a Tornado :P. At night i get wired white dots everywhere and graphics tearing which i do not get in FS22. There are little to no mods but they are coming fast. Since they changed how models work with materials wheels, product discharge and sounds, many mods cannot be simply ported over with easy... i tried. So for the next 6 months or so I'll be enjoying this version with the FS Miner mods and Yukon Valley V4 map XD. Or at least till more mods start coming out on FS25.... FS Miner said he is going to try and prot over all his mods to FS25 but in future if successful will focus on Productions more because his 220 mods don't really have places to use the materials without a very select few maps or custom ones you make yourself. Great Game, got 1740 hours played and I'm not done yet. :)

To Be fair, if I didn't have the FS Miner mods, I probably wouldn't play FS atm. It gets boring and repetitive quick

Friend bought it for me for my bday but I had FS22 and others already. Well first few days after release I really missed a few mods I had on FS22 but I thought I'd give it a good test run with the stock game. Overall visuals look great! They are a bit of an improvement from last version mainly ground textures. Machines don't look too terribly diff from 22. I did run into a number of bugs though that will get addressed I'm sure.

1. Slight flickering to black screen once in a while for a half second,
2. When buying new attachments, sometimes the tractor you are in cannot pick it up until you tab through the vehicles and back to the one you were in again. Same goes with after you detach components, sometimes it won't let you attach other till you tab through again.
3. AI does a lot of extra unneccessary driving adding to labour cost and equiptment wear although it does do a pretty decent job overall.
4. My wheel loader accidentely picked up some snow one winter, I dropped it on the ground but it started to magically spawn under my bucket. Didn't quite notice till after i had a full bucket of silage and tried to drive away. a trail of snow formed as i dove, then when i went to go put it into the hopper for my mixing wagon the pile kept growing. wouldn't stop till i fast forwarded to June. Even if i got out into another vehicle. Saved and reloaded it just kept coming. Once it stopped this in June the snow didn't melt... but stopped spawning. used that same machine to pick up hay after I could empty it of silage and then hay started to spawn... quickly detached bucket before too much formed and re-attached it and tah-da it all stopped...
5. Sometimes the AI's wheel track don't form tracks unless the attachment it in work mode. Sometimes they spawn later (When you go a distance away and come back), sometimes not.
6. Its a 50/50 chance that if you run over a sign you either go through it like its not there or you hit it, knock it over and then it becomes an obsticle in the middle of the road forever till you reload game.
7. The plows that fold for transport cannot be used for AI Hire. they just fold it into the transport mode and try and plow a 1 row line... (Only tried the 2 largest sizes and gave up did it myself)
8. [More of a modders issue here] Tried to move my ride on mower, lawncare trailer and a pickup over from fs22 and something about the materials and wheels has changed. All models had no wheels, and a default texture overlay consisting of a bunch of box's with the number 56 in the middle, all panels were different colors and my mower was transparent. they loaded into game but no sounds worked and the mower cut the grass but did not discharge anything.

That's all the issues I found so far with 33 hours of play. If you don;t have any other the other versions it is worth a try but needs some flushing out done. Personally my fav atm is FS22 cuz how many mods it has. Personally I own FS13, FS19, FS22 and now FS25..

Happy farming!

Early Access Review
Decent game for what they got finished so far, had a few hours of fun with it. Game is quite easy, was able to 'Win' first attempt and unlocked everything other then car blueprints. Since it is early access there are a few things that are not finished yet and its nicely tells you it is in development is if it not available yet. Having a limit on amount of areas you can build and how many things on each kinda sucks (Even when fully unlocked) for the amount of space i had on Chicago, i had way to much room an wasn't able to fill in the whole area. Progress is slightly slow like in 9 hours i only got to year 1922 from the lowest possible year start date. Great start, cannot wait to see where this game goes, deff worth a try!

Long time player returning now that i seen it is on steam...
This game has been and will always be based as a Free to play game but has in game purchasing ans subbing available. It is Not pay to win but it Is pay to unlock all content, (Even if only a 1 time fee)

Please keep in mind this is an old game. that being said it is still being updated and remains online.

NEW never before played played be warned:
Don't try and make an account through steam make one through their website. this is the same with subbing. DO NOT SUB THROUGH STEAM!!! over 200k forum posts of the issues so just sub through the original location which is your account page on the swtor website.

Ok, so about the game.
The game isn't WOW! It's similar game mechanics but they are nothing alike. low population is going to discurage you if your looking for PVP matchs and large group play.

They are moving to 64 bit in the next month or 2 so this will open a lot of new opportunities for this old tired game. We are unsure exactly what this includes but we know it will increase cpu usage from single core only to all cores being used, 128gb ram vs 4gb ram and of course more gpu power capabilities.

Economy is totally out of whack but they are working on a way to help fix that in the 64 bit update. Some older feature have become obsolete and irrelevant to end game and end game gearing has become quite convoluted.. Saying that but I still enjoy the game. Although and I have many more hr's then what steam states as this is "Newer" on steam (within last 2 years) this game has 11 years or more of content you can cover.

-There are 8 class stories to cover each taking 30 or more hr just for the story no including side missions and other hidden things,
-there are various was to play each class so this makes it possible to play same class stories as different play styles,
-Daily and weekly missions, pvp, space flying missions, big arena match's (8 player missions) and group quests (2-4 player groups) [some of these are locked behind a sub btw]
-thousands of outfits to make your toon look the way you want. [the new outfitter makes it so you can hide the gear you are wearing with a "mask" of ur favorite outfits]
-6 or 7 expansions (currently) get unlocked via a 1 time sub
-subbing is fairly cheap compared to other games like it.

Some more details for new players:
Free to play players get the first 2 expansions free which were 'Rise of the Hutt Cartel' and 'Shadow of Revan', these also get you to level 60 as a top level.
Unfortunately without paying even some money, you can only run 4 class stories at a time before you are forced to delete a character if you do not want to pay for the game and get all the bonuses for completing all origin stories. You only can hold 1 million creds before it gets locked away till you sub again..(it goes in a thing called an escrow). once you sub, then the cap is 4.2 billion. A work around for the credit cap though is you just stick the credits in ur legacy storage so it doesn't get locked away in escrow. just make sure you do it Before it reaches 1 million. (and don;t pull out more then 1m including whats in ur hand)

A 1 month sub that is non reacuring will get you 1 month of sub but unlock anything that's been released up to that point (expansions and levels also any cash in the escrow). You will be able to get all achievements for the game without having to delete completed toons because you have 24 character slots unlocked now. Once that Sub runs out you are now a preferred player and can have 14 class stories to play. If you had 15, you have to select one first time logging in after sub runs out that gets locked from play until you sub again.

Now, there are things you can buy on the Cartel Market for real money that unlocks more slots also. These cost real money but do work for free to play players as well. you can buy up to 99 of them and never have to subbed and thus not cause you to delete a toon (But it cost money like $5 canadian). Also as a 'preferred player' all the expansions remain unlocked up to that point but you go back to 1 million credit cap and an escrow for excess credits. If a new expansion comes out you need to resub to unlock it forever and any new level caps but 1 time gets you a LOT.

Keep in minds as a free to play player end game is out of your reach. if you are unsure if you wanna sub even 1 time play f2p for a bit and see if the game is even for you...

Last point I'll make, if you set up a security key with the app for your phone you get free 100 Cartel Credits aka CC as long as it's connected. f2p players can set this up soon as they make their account and by the time they get to lvl cap and origin story end they should have enough CC to buy another slot for a char on the Cartel Market for free and get another class story without having to delete one... there are many work around and many people willing to share help. be kinda ask for help and have fun.

The shopping list seems to be useless IMO I played over 300 hours of CMS18 and so my muscle memory for finding parts and knowing what i need comes with practice. Moving some of the electrical parts to the electronics section messed with me for first 30 mins of play but i finally clued in. I do like the new fuse panels and diff types of fluids to work with. adds a little more realism. Still needs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fluid and Gasoline I'd say but maybe next version lol.. Many of the parts are the same as the old game, but seems some were nerfed and on some motors parts replaced with similar to cut back on multiples that look exactly the same i guess.

Needs a better more accurate way of calculating that the player actually has invested in the car as "Profit" is way out to lunch. Was hoping in the performance parts department to have 2 or more other options for the same part. Each with different performance boosts. I guess the upgrade system works but you only get 3 levels.... Also was hoping for the option to have different valve covers for your engines depending what car you put it in. In real life with say a Chevy 350 for instance, there are multiple heads and valve covers available on the market.

Since game is new mods are slim, making a way to port over old mods would be killer. Game seems less grindy then previous game, but it still take a bit to get fully unlocked. Personally i was supersized how cheap it was to fully unlock the shop, although i wasn't complaining. Miss do my 3rd lift and really hate having to go outside to move cars inside every time. Not a huge fan of the new repair system but the old system was way too simple. Brake lathe was a nice added bonus as was the new system for balancing tires. New alignment system was sorta basic but gets the point across. Headlight adjustment should be done for each light not both together. Car washing was also a nice touch. Lots of new feature that i guess was easier to make a whole new game rather then trying to patch together the old one, but in essence this is the exact same game with a few new features. graphics have not improved and many of the models are the same. Already played too long to get a refund but i got it on sale so i cannot complain.

EDIT: After some more playing around, i was able to find out how to paint parts which was an idea i posted in suggestions but was unaware it already existed. Would like to know how to make liveries for parts though... Anyway, this game is still obviously in the early stages, editing the save file seems to allow for a user to accomplish Achievements without actually doing them. Was able to fine out where to add money, the part upgrade points, the level and current exp. Further more if i searched "Points", i was able to fine all the data that controls the shop unlocks. either adding a bunch of points worked or switching all falses to true, a full unlocked shop is achievable as is the achievement. All Stock cars in game have the carValue data point under logic so one is able to change the overall value of the car for all cars. Making new configs seems pretty simple overall. The Car editor is currently broken and does not allow for moving around the scene. makes it hard to edit cars at the moment. The button to explode car seems to keep moving the parts further and further away not return on second button press. This mike be a partial reason little mods have been uploaded just plenty of new configs for the base cars. I'm liking all the new parts more and more but i wish all the parts and engines from the previous game remained. [mainly the ford engines]

Has some neet things about it like you can sandblast, paint, repair panels and such its a little more realistic in that sense then car mechanic simulator games, but since both the developers and moders have abandend this game i cannot recommend anyone to support this company. Every game released is unfinished and unkept after about a year. Their business strategy is bad. Graphics is poor compaired to other games out around the time of release. Bug's are still exist 2 years later and left unfixed. Truck and parts options are pretty minimal even with all the so called mods. spend your money else where unless you just GOTTa try it be my guess you will not be impressed for long. I suggest CMS18

beat game in 2 days on light play no cheating, issues with stack tracing if left on at idle too long. Amounted to exceed 5 million processes after being left on for 8 hours while i slept resulting in 3 fps = unplayble. a restart fixed it though. Options for placables are pretty limited, perks are at a minimal and easy to aquire or can be changed at will via the Save File. All in all it was fun for maybe 25 hours of up time maybe 16 of actual play time but that's about it. Needs some polishing up more things added or workshop to mod existing models. Painting colors are mostly ugly, only a few look good or just ok. exterior walls there is only 1 option and after finishing 12 missions had not yet unlocked the siding tool took quite a bit to unlock the tiling tool because after i had enough to buy and flip houses i stopped with the missions. had to go back to see if that was what was unlocking the tools.

I've got over 300 hours into this game since purchasing 4-5 years ago. game has changed a bit since then but for that amount of time this game should be polished and finished by now. I've had a lot of fun playing this game but after a while it is very monotones and without multiplayer quite dull. Graphics look great controls work on a Xbox One plug and play to my PC, lots to do and lots of upgrades. Comparing this game to games like farming simulator though it has nothing for equipment options. Its far more technical then FS but about as fun. all in all i would recommend this game if you are not paying more then $20. Devs don't seems to take user input very well and not much gets worked on on this game, the company has moved on to other things.

UPDATE: Been 4 years since i last reviewed this game and since not a lot has changed. Dev's have straight up refused to add multiplayer in this version and say that will come in a new iteration of the game. Reason i'm even updating is i couldn't help but notice they had changed the name of the game from "Gold Rush: The Game" to "Gold Mining Simulator" 7-8 years too late guys lol just sayin. Did the game sell? are there new dev's running the show? what gives? anyway, have not played this game in 3 years would still not exactly recommend it of course but it is still sort of fun, it still could use some things. Sadly that wont happen and a new game may have those wanted changes.

Early Access Review
For a game that has been made by mainly one person and is maintained by that same person, this game isamazing, its not graphic intensive and you can play it at you own pace. Some games take me days to complete, its a turn based system mostly information based, its has minamal car building design at the moment but has constantly been growing. All of the background information is mostly complete and is working well. the game is completely open so mod away till your hearts content. you wont find many mods online but you are given a modding tool along with the game to change things as you please. I'm currentl;y building an extensive mod, with the mod tools its really not that difficult. just time consuming. I'm wierd and like these types of games but its not for every gamer out there. Ive engoyed this games so much im nearing 1500 hours, one of best buys ive had to date.
