My Personal Review of Night Runners: Prologue

I can’t believe how much Night Runners: Prologue has impressed me—especially as a free beta. It feels like a love letter to the golden era of racing games, yet still manages to stand out as something unique and fresh.

In-Depth Car Customization
One of my favorite parts is the insane level of car customization. I spent ages tweaking the exterior details, adjusting the interior to fit my vibe, and even fine-tuning how the car handles. It’s like the game encourages you to make each car your own. Honestly, I haven’t seen customization this good in a long time—not even in some AAA racing games.

Immersive Audio Design
The sound design is next-level. The drum and bass soundtrack pairs perfectly with the game’s fast-paced feel, pulling me right into the action. It’s not just music; it’s the perfect rhythm to keep the adrenaline pumping as you tear through Tokyo’s expressways.

Expansive Map with Potential
The map is already great, with that atmospheric vibe of nighttime street racing, but I’m hoping for street-level additions in the future. Cruising the expressways feels amazing, but I’d love to see tighter, more intricate city streets to really test my driving skills. And honestly, the map could always be bigger—there’s no such thing as too much room to explore.

Hopes for the Future
I can’t wait to see where the developers take this. More cars would be a game-changer—I love the selection so far, but I’m excited to see how much variety they can add. And if the full game is anything like this beta, it’s going to be something really special.

Final Thoughts
Night Runners: Prologue has reminded me why I love racing games. The attention to detail, the nostalgia, and the sheer fun of it all make it stand out—even against big-budget titles. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this one as it evolves, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
