Why is this a DLC now? This should be the maingame and NGS a minigame. What a disgrace.

This game has 3 stages.

Stage 1) It's scary. Playing Survivor and hearing the heartbeat makes you want to hide. Stealth killers make you scream.

Stage 2) It's imbalanced. Too many good Killer / Survivor perks. Your losses are due to bad teammates, sweaty players or busted perks. You get angry a lot.

Stage 3) You come to appreciate the flaws and can have a good time by yourself as Killer or with friends as Survivor. Players mistakes make you laugh, or you wonder what the hell you were thinking when you camped the basement chest as Bubba and nobody came to loot it.

This game is best enjoyed in a non-serious manner but it takes many hours to get to that stage. If you feel yourself becoming heated, go play something else for a bit or facecamp a Mikaela.

Early Access Review
Fun game with some irritating glitches here and there. Every few alpha updates they change a fundamental part of the game (crafting, zombie drops, skill points, etc.). However this game has been in 'Alpha' for over 8 years. 8 Years. How is that possible?

Play it if you like, however the game will likely never come out of Alpha and this is their carte blanche to have an inordinate amount of bugs in the game.

You can play as a gay vampire! He's got cool perks, weak moveset though hopefully he'll see a buff. Maybe the knife counter should stay (à-la Ghostface stalk).

This is a game that calls back fond memories of PSO Episode 1&2 in the early 00s. Many of the early sounds you here as well as the weapon designs and some of the core mechanics (mags, monomates etc.) will help familiarise yourself with the game a little faster if you've played PSO1, but my friends who hadn't were able to adapt regardless.

There are many characters, story quests & standard quests to do. Grinds to get rare weapons, pets, skins or items always on-going. Character customisation is amazing. You can be a giant mech-robot wielding ungodly power, or a small teenager-looking character struggling to fend off a few monsters with an arsenal of magic, guns and melee weapons. There are also a myriad of pets which can be used by Summoners.

The UI is awful. There is no beating around this problem. It's clunky, overloaded with crap and the options are worse. I'd say it took me about 200 hours to figure out everything regarding the UI/Options interface.

There is crafting and a crafting tree in this game, though it is primitive as is the gathering system. It's a means to an end towards a more fleshed out game.

As it's a F2P game, microtransactions are to be expected. the A/C transactions seem somewhat fair, allowing you to purchase more character slots or mags as well as extra storage. All very handy.

Stargems is another currency in the game that can be acquired by - Doing PvP, scoring high on weekly rankings, CASINO, Buster Quests, logging on, completing quests in Hardcore mode. Do NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT, buy stargems. They are massively overpriced for the value of the items acquired by them, and are not worth it. They have a store called freshfinds, where you can buy cosmetic items for stargems. The shop rotates daily and utilises 'FOMO - Fear of Missing Out' to get you to dish out absurd amounts of money on cosmetics.

I don't idle in this game, so the gametime you see is pretty frightingly accurate. it's a very addictive game.

It's nice to have a Japanese themed Killer and Survivor. I hope the next one is based around some of the European Mythological creatures and landscape.

A little steep at £10 for a DLC, but the content is amazing and I'm sure to get my money's worth out of it. Scoops Ahoy yo.
