So as of this review, the game is still in 1.0, so it's pretty barebones. There's not much to do because this game is still what I would consider in its infancy. There is a cheese strat where you can auto-feed your fish, so that helps progress a ton currently. Hopefully future updates bring an auto-feed system or something similar. So far progress seems reasonable, and the game seems like it has a lot of potential with a lot of future possibility. There is no microtransaction system, which is great, and hopefully it stays like that. It even goes as far as feeding a "gacha itch" with in-game currency, since obtaining fish is based on a gacha system that gives you a chance at rarer fish that bring more income to buy more packs and pull for more fish. $6 might be a bit steep, but the developer was generous enough to have the game on sale for release week. In the future, there will hopefully be enough content added to fill the $6 worth of this game. Based on seeing the interaction of the developer with this game also, you can tell they love the game and love to create for it. They seem to do a lot of brainstorming and listen to player feedback, which is pretty rare for a lot of game developers these days. All in all, I look forward to what this game may bring in the future. I would love to see more systems like auto-feeding, maybe feed upgrades, more tiers of different fish to fill the gaps of how far between the current price of fish are, etc. But I mean, for the $5 this game currently is? It's definitely worth giving a shot if you haven't yet. If anything, it's relaxing and cute and a nice background on a 2nd monitor.

Edit: This game does become somewhat active when you begin filling your fish pokedex. Getting the golden set for the first pack of fish alone took me 6 hours of nonstop play. While it's not much for active play, it's definitely a grind and a half. I was stuck on 23/25 fish for 5 out of 6 of those hours until I figured out growing up the gold babies I already have increases my chances of getting new goldens. As soon as I grew the babies, I got the Koi instantly which was one of the 2 I was missing. The Discus came about 45 mins later to finish the set.

This is incredibly fun. A breath of fresh air for VR rhythm games. Not to mention, the devs are directly interactive with the community and open to feedback and very friendly about everything. They even went as far as to come into my Twitch stream and hang out and talk to me and my chat, which is a fantastic first impression. I definitely look forward to the future of this game!

I guarantee if you are a diehard souls fan, you will lose hours of your life playing this game. Bonus if you enjoy anime and story games.
