All right, after playing through the game twice, Once on normal and once on Nightmare New Game +, Here are my thoughts on the game.

-Soundtrack-
Probably one of the best soundtracks i've heard in a while. 10/10

-Gameplay-
Solid and tight controls, performs much like the one of the games it drew inspiration from, Symphony of the Night. 8/10

-Story-
Pretty good, nothing to write home about. Some scenes will make certain people uncomfortable as seen on the discussions threads. 6/10

-Value for money-
Getting this game at full price is kind of a stretch. It's pretty short, (took me about 6 hours to full explore the map 100% and then 3 hours in New game+ on nightmare) Its a pretty good nevertheless but i'd probably wait till it goes on sale to get your full money worth in my opinion. 6/10

-Bugs/Crashes-
Seems to be well polished in this dept. had no issues with bugs or crashes. 10/10

Overall i'd probably give this game a 7/10 as stated above, One of the best soundtracks, gameplay is solid but the length of the game/replay value and story are holding it back. If you're REALLY looking for a new Metroidvania to play, this will scratch the itch for a little bit, though I would advise waiting untill it's on sale. It's worth about 15 USD to me instead of 20 USD.

At first glance this looks like a SAW movie simulator, but after playing it, it becomes much much more Than a SAW simulator. It's a very great game, but the price is a little steep for it. I'd wait till it goes on sale to pick it up and once you do, you will fall so far down the rabbit hole. Was a very enjoyable experience. To summarize the game, its a giant "Choose your own adventure" book with great puzzle gameplay. 10/10 would die again. (real score 8/10) best enjoyed if on sale, though I would ALMOST recommend buying at face value.

So, I picked up this game cause it was on sale a while back and decided "Why not?", and unlike most things I happen to get on a whim, this game happened to be a real treasure.

Starting off though, I HIGHLY recommend a Gamepad of sorts for this game. I can only imagine going through this game with a Keyboard would make one want to Chuck it out the window. If you do NOT have a Gamepad, some of the platforming will be quite difficult assuming you are too used to platforming like elements with a controller as I was. Also the jumping physics take some getting used to.

Gameplay: The gameplay is as other people have called it "Metroidvania" Wheras the game is centered around these large ruins and have seperate areas within the ruins that define as "other levels" So, in a nut shell, you go around the ruins exploring, trying to figure out what purpose these ruins have or what mysteries you can unfold. The more you discover, the more items you unlock, thus allowing access to different areas of the ruins.

Difficulty: Wow, there are parts in this game where it makes you wanna rage, but if you're like me, and enjoy a challenege. It's all in good fun. You cannot heal yourself by normal means, you have to either go to the hotspring outside the ruins, or collect enough green orbs to "Level up"

The puzzles in this game are quite clever ranging from block destrcution order to in game ciphers. Though there are puzzles as simple as placing a weight on a pedestal (or dias as called in this game) So, there is a large degree of puzzle difficulty variation in this game. (Protip: No hint is too small in this game)

The bosses.. holy crap. Their moveset may not be very extensive, but they are very unforgiving. There are 9 Main bosses in this game. The first one being... generally easy, but after that, it's no cakewalk. These bosses generally take a degree of skill to defeat. If you die, you have to start all the way back from your last quick save. It's usually not THAT far of a walk, though there is this one area where its just annoying.. gotta wait for elevators... and suicidal fish.. just a bad experience, but made one feel so accomplished after finally taking care of the foul boss for that victorious fanfare after defeating a boss.

Music: The Music in this game is quite amazing I think. Not really much else to say.

Storyline: Kind of non-existant untill about halfway through the game. There's slight lore on each area of the ruins, but once you reach that halfway mark and the lore starts to tie into each other, It becomes clear that there is MUCH more to the ruins than one could have initially thought of. I love it.

Overall, This game's got alot of good things going for it, music, story, memorable characters. It's difficulty and obscure puzzles may deter other gamers, but I enjoy the challenge. Pick up this game if you enjoy one as well!! You won't regret it.
