With the upcoming quake champions being Bathesdaified, I think this is the closest you can get to old school gameplay.

The game currently lacks players and I was given a key to help populate the game but there really isn't many players still, to the point that I would say even Tremulous has half as many players at any given time considering how old it is.

It "feel" a little slower than CPMA / PQL for some reason, but essentially seems the same in numeric values from what I can tell. Some major current default differences to CPMA include mega health respawn times (at least from what I've noticed), Melee attack (I think it deals 100 damage, Q3's gauntlet deals 50 damage but strikes automatically while the spanner requires precise timing and can instant-kill players upon their spawning)

In all honesty, for some reason I prefer WarSow. WSW's hitboxes are much harder to hit which is a problem for my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ aim, but you get to "feel" fast with the ability to uniquely re-direct your movement vector in one go. I still wonder why WarSow isn't even planned at the moment to be actually released on Steam.

I didn't get the golden hammer thing for participating in the beta testing, but tbh I don't really care.

Just get this game if you want to feel the modernised version of CPM-physics based Arena FPS game. Who knows if Quake Champions will bring Reflex more players... but if they do, this game will be much more worth buying.

Kind of a disappointment tbh, but from what it appears to be, I think it's more of a demo what the game engine can do.

The demo incluides two songs and dances with two catgirls, a stage and an audience of shaking lightsticks. The model details was lower than I expected, but a tleast they tried.

Since it's free, I guess you can use this to test your VR headset

Like overwatch, but with optional upgrades/stat boosters in-game like health stealing, and lots of bugs. If you want overwatch but can't buy it, get this game

Tremulous, Gloom and Natural Selection... Tbh its hard to choose which is the best out of the three.

Gloom is a fast paced frag-based with variation in the damage system, Tremulous is fast paced as well and can be fun as hell but often camping simulator, Natural Selection sucks whenever one team starts to lose and if that is your team, because all the players joining mid-game always join the winning team, and NS2's heavy reliance on teamstrategy makes it difficult to carry the team. However I do enjoy aliens and commander isn't so bad. The game also heavily relies on the fact marines can pick up weapons from corpses. I can imagine how aweful humans are when they are no longer able to pick up their weapons.

However as all three games go, they do have a gameplay trend: Human-biased with lots of players and alien-biased with little amount of players.

Oh well who cares its still fun.

Recent updates aren't worth it. Hats, hats and hats. Too much space so I deleted it.

It was fun, but TF2 lacks new content gaming-wise. Great for kids with monster computers these days

Scout is more scouty. Spy is more classier. Heavy can slow other people down. Medic is a CTF-er and poisons distributor. Demoman has a nuke and more overpowered grenades. Pyro can fly. Civilian is well, a civilian. Engineer has an explosive railgun and an explosive dispenser. Oh, and the most important thing that brought me here, aside from being like TF2, is that you can actually bunnyhop/strafe jump!!!11!
