Played through the game on a 3070 ti at 1440p using DLSS performance and the high graphics preset, and it averaged 45-65 fps. Ended up being a very pleasant experience on a VRR display, the perfect excuse to play through portal again.

There was some quality issues with the spinning fan lights, but nothing experience ruining.

Warning, it is an alpha title. There are crashes and frame rate issue. The game just came out on the 16th and the developers are already doing a great job addressing issues.

Otherwise the game is fantastic. This is the first game I've played in a long time that captures the magic the beta of Minecraft did, there wasn't anything like it at the time, and there's nothing quite like Astroneer. Exploring a new world and establishing yourself as a permanent resident. Gathering resources, crafting, exploring the surface with rovers, and spelunking through caves.

As rough as some edges of this game are, there's also a surprising amount of polish. The animations are great, the art direction is amazing, there's a very cohesive visual style, the basic gameplay and movement feels like a finished title. Rovers and trucks are one of the things that feel alpha, physics can get wonky, controls can be frustrating, and bugs are everywhere.

I didn't realize Warner Bros. licensed a 300 spin off game involving King Leonidas fighting off hordes of zombies.
