Early Access Review
Despite my interest in the game.. I can't recommend it atm.
The game feels very early in development kind of like an Alpha at the moment. There is quite a lack of content in the game. Skills aren't in the game yet making Combat extremely dull. Crafting has zero to no impact on the game. The rock paper scissor mechanic is not in the game either despite what is advertised. There is a lot of things to do, but none of it really has any soul or meaning. The quests are well designed, +1 for that. The only reason to play this game right now is to invest in your character, before everything else that is promised gets added later... which who knows how long that'll be.

Game play honestly felt good in the tutorial boss.
Too bad they took out the game play in this game by adding auto-play. I'm still going to enjoy it while I can. Too bad Auto-Play is brain rot. I can use the toilet while clearing stages making this "game" just eye candy.

Very nice VN style Gacha game. If you are going to skip the story? Don't bother, the story is the main selling point of the game.

The story is very interesting and involving. Regarding the Gacha mechanics, every character is included from the start. Very nice Gacha game for that. The gacha involves alternative reality versions of the characters. Very f2p friendly so far. Investing is optional imo. I just got to Chapter 3 and the story is very captivating so far. Give it a go :)

Game is nice. Music is nice. If you're a fan of the recent NFS's (2015 and above)... ESPECIALLY 2015. This game is for you!! Gameplay has improved a lot from Payback/Heat. It's def a harder NFS title more similar to NFS2015 in its handling/difficulty than it is similar to Payback/Heat.
My recommendation is for the GAME. Not the PC version. The PC Version is "GOOD ENOUGH" IF you are a PC Gamer. Lets say you have a PS5/PC or Xbox/PC... But you're mostly a console player? Just get it on console.. trust me.

Game DOES has some severe troubleshooting. Do NOT buy ON PC it if you're not a 'hardcore' PC gamer... cuz you will spend hours scratching your head with the amount of technical User-End bugs it has...
-Controller support Issues.
-DX12 Shader Cache Issues.
-HDR Issues.
-Optimal Graphics Settings/Framerate Issues.
-CPU Usage Issues
I managed to fix all this on my own... but damn was the amount of 'workarounds' I had to do was a pain in the ass.
For example the HDR support.... IDK man it was a really weird fix for me.

To get HDR working, if you have it on it will be like really dark... Like irregularly dark. Usually Windows HDR is washed out, but here it is the opposite like it is smudged in smog. But if you put the game in windowed mode then ALT+TAB it will be like 'regular' HDR brightness that you want where the colors are much more vibrant in the game in the background. When you ALT+TAB back in, the game will go back to being smudged up. So to fix this...
1...-> Turn off FreeSync if you don't have FreeSync 2/Premium. HDR support with VRR enabled with non 'premium' VRR monitors is not good. If you are running at 4K.. You NEED to cap your frames @60FPS. Unless you have the new HDMI 2.1 then it is w.e.
2... -> HDR=ON in Windows and in game... Set the Lightning effects in game in (Accessibility) = ON. It will make the game darker.. but the gamma is better. (Less washed out). Trust me on this. Also turn gamma correction in (Display/Graphics) settings = 0/100. Your game will be darker then ever.
3...-> [ALT + TAB] then go to YouTube, put it in a small window over your game, and search up a HDR Video. Whichever one works. Your desired HDR settings will blast on. With the game running in the background, you will see that it corrects itself. (I was like wtf?? when I saw this lol.)
4...->NOW HIT [WIN+ALT+B]. This will turn HDR in Windows off. Then you hit [WIN+ALT+B] again to turn it back on. Then [ALT+TAB] into the game and pray it works. If it doesn't, try again.
5...-> Now with the corrected REAL Vibrant HDR... You can adjust your monitor brightness, color corrections, + in game gamma correction to your flavor.
If I tried to explain this troubleshooting to my friends and family who aren't avid PC gamers... like wtf? Why do I have to do all this stuff just to turn HDR on.? Not worth the headache.

My recommendation, again, goes for the game itself. NOT for the PC release. Like I said, if you're not a rabid PC gamer, just get it on PS5 if you want to hit Play and Forget. I heard it runs at 4k60 on console which is pretty good :)

Game is fun and addicting. Finding it hard to put down. Played the demo on PS5 and I'm hooked. Feels very reminiscent of God Eater and Freedom Wars.

Combat is fluid and takes some getting used to it's unique elements. There are a ton of enemies to kill in some levels which I enjoy so much. The zones that includes wave after wave of enemies that drags on are my favorite.
There is a delayed dodge system. Your character dodges instantly, but the attacks have a wind up animation with the telegraph before the swing. This makes you save your dodge like 0.5 seconds after the telegraph, to dodge the swing. I actually like this unique dodge mechanics. It feels more challenging and each mob has a unique timing per attack animation... rather than "PRESS DODGE ON RED FLASH".

The MTX in this game is only for On Demand Cosmetics. The Season 1 BP is included with purchase of the base game.

Game is balanced around CO-OP, but solo is possible.

Graphics are pretty good IMO BUT at 1440P and 4k. At 1080P the game looks a little muddied. I had this same issue with another game where 1080P and 1440P made a huge difference. Also a huge surprise, the game is well optimized! Can easily get 120FPS@1440P on a 2070S. I've experienced 1 graphical glitch during a cutscene, otherwise the bugs aren't there. This is no N:A launch at all. There's 3 FOV camera choices. I like choosing the Close camera angle for melee, and Far for range. I also find that tilting your camera to a Bird Eye's view makes this chaotic game a little more manageable.

Due to this being an always online game, there are some times where enemies sort of teleport at the beginning of battle. But once it loads in it doesn't happen again mid combat... to a certain extent. Enemies will at times teleport, but never mid attack animation. Usually it's when they're slowly walking around they'll instant transmission like 5 feet at a time. I find it annoying, but fair at least.

Overall I'm really enjoying this game a ton!
Pretty much, if you like the idea of a DMC/MH hybrid with gear grind this game is great :) I honestly think this game is getting the No Man's Sky treatment from reviewers jumping on the hate train. The more people hopping on and enjoying this game, although a slow trickle, I seriously think this game is gonna be a shining hidden gem in the near future. Because IMO this game is fantastic!

RTX 2070 Super @ 4k Maxed settings
48-55 FPS - Stock
55-60 FPS - Moderate overclock
Comes with Xbox and Playstation icons
Game is good. Only complaint is the insane difficulty straight from the start. It expects you to have played the first game (duh). If you're rusty you will have a hard time getting back into it for the first few hours.

First game I played. I see a player across the fields and he disappears into the heavens and lands on top of me, stunning me, and headshots me. Apparently this is a legitimate part of the game known as a character ability called "Thor". If this sounds as trash to you as it does to me, I do not recommend.
