Would be a super fun game if it didn't crash/lose connection every other mission

EDIT: Changed recommendation, devs are constantly pushing out updates and bug-fixes, and the game has become much more playable.

Used to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome, not anymore. DayBreak pretty much threw this game into a porta-potty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ whenever they figured out they'd make more $ milking KOTK, then they "release" a new map which isn't even fit for the test servers in a pathetic attempt to make the community think that they care about JS again. Even though JS is the PvE version of KOTK the devs have made it apparent that they don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about pve players, and the rare updates they release cater only to pvp players. Melee combat is plagued with desync to the point where you can't even hit zombies/players anymore, because they're lagging all over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ place. Unless they ever bundle this game with aimbots and magic bullet hacks, there's no point in even installing the game, because within a couple minutes of loading into the game, you'er going to be 2-tapped by someone that you can't even see. Not to mention if you ever run into a player, there's a 99% chance they'll yell some ♥♥♥♥ in korean/chinese/japanese and then shoot you in the head. I never thought I'd say it but the majority of the playerbase in this game makes Rust look like Weenie Hut Junior.

This reviews pretty late but I just want to give my opinion on the game for those who are struggling to determine to buy the game or not.

If you want the short version of this review, if you have the money and your considering buying the game, buy it.

When I first purchased this game, I took a while to installing and playing it seeing how I've almost never heard of the game, I didn't expect much from it and focused on playing bigger titles. I installed the game about a week or two after I purchased it, I got into the game not knowing what to expect. I played the first mission or two that night and I was really impressed with the game seeing I bought it for about $3. I really liked the concept that the game was a flashback and loved the leveling up system, and the concentration system. I also really liked the system where you dodge bullets when you're about to die, although I thought it was a bit too forgiving. In the next day or two I really enjoyed shooting with Billy The Kid, and chasing Roscoe "Bob" Bryant to avenge my fallen brothers. The next day I got to the final mission after about a total of 4 or 5 hours of gameplay. I was really suprised with how well the ending was, and the twist at the end, but also really dissapointed seeing that this was the latest game in the series and how quickly the game was done, and trust me, I'm no speed runner.

Overall, I really enjoyed the game with things such as the vast majority of guns, the upgrade system, concentration and enemies. But I also wasn't too fond of the forgiving bullet dodging system, and the short story. Overall I would give this game an 7/10 and I would say that this games pros are definitely more plentiful than cons.

This is a great game. I don't know why this game is getting hate. it is in early beta and you can do more than a lot of games that are fully developed. there are countless things to do in starbound. There are different sectors and types of terrains and worlds with amazing randomly generated structures. at night it gets colder and different enemies come out and you need good armor to survive. on the moon you have to have something that gives you oxygen and have really good armor because there are lots of ores on the moon. all of the terrains and world have their pros and cons. there are really good designed monsters with some neutral and some aggressive. there are differnet types of weapons with different stats, they have guns in this game. and you have to use a bow or hunting knife to get leather or food. if you use another weapon you get pixels a currency used in the game or used to craft things. 10/10, would play again.
