Yeah, no
I really wanted to give this one a go after all these years. My 1st experience was awful playing this since my friend got me a pirated version of this from the local market and it is on 4 discs. Had a lot of "fun" installing it and cracking it all for it to be a C&C without base building, xp grinding and a boring C&C campaign both story and mission structure due to the nature of walking "bases".
The soundtrack is even not that good compared to other C&C games somehow... how did they manage to mess that up?
Clearly this was meant to be a Online Only game for Asian players and it shows. Kind of reminds me of the saddly failed attempt at Company Of Heroes Online which was kind of awesome honestly.

It doesn't work most of the time, even on EA app and when it works it is just not fun. Reminds me of the Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak due to its gameplay style, but worse.

I really like this game, it feels like a natural evolution of the first game. It has a lot more details, more complex puzzles and now has somewhat of a story going on. So the production is much better and the game has an ending of sorts. The only downside is that the game focuses sometimes on a little more specific solutions for the puzzles. They are still intuitive and you don't have to use a guide if you are patient enough, but it makes me question what kind of game the 3rd one will be.
The main reason I didn't enjoy this one as much as the 1st is the loss of novelty, mostly due to you not being able to fail a puzzle. You can simply keep clicking on things until the game gives you a hint or you stumble onto something that can progress the game.
In the 1st game you could solve parts of different parallel puzzles most of the time, but this game lacks that.

This game sits in a weird spot. It is regarded as a GTA clone yet manages to be its own thing.
There are some dark moments in the game but for the most part is just mad fun. Not as insane and over the top as the next games. I can see that this game really does lead to SR3 (in a gameplay and story sense), since they went further into extreme with SR2 compared to SR1.
The only thing here is that SR1 and SR2 are connected, like SR3 and SR4 are. I consider those 2 different branches of the story. In SR1 and 2 the boss wants to rid of the gangs in order to create a safe place for kids to grow up. To complete that rival gangs were destroyed and the saints as well. But after certain events in 2 it goes totally opposide. Without Saints new gangs arise and now you get those and in the end revenge plot comes to a close only for your character to embrace the evil he has become.
Your character and the saints aren't morally grey. You've been playing as the bad guy this whole time and you end the game as a bad guy.

The customization in this game is insane (both character and clothing). The music is great. The missions fun and side quests funny. The map is rather small but packed with things and a lot of stuff happening (with NPCs). So the world feels alive.

The HUGE downside is the PC port. Aim acceleration, bugs, crashes and a whole lot of issues plague this game. Thankfully there are guides to solve this created by the community.

Had a few laughs while playing this short visual novel. Got it in a bundle with another game.

A short and interesting Visual Novel with some good horror elements (and lots of Yuri) that caught me off guard. It is the same developer that made Selene and that was a trip.
Why does a visual novel with barely any horror have better horror atmosphere than most horror games?

Great concept when the RTS genre was in a rough shape but now since it is abandoned it is just a tech demo. Inspired by C&C Generals for sure

I would rather give this one a neutral.
Even though the game itself has good art and voice overs for a solid part of the dialogue (some mistakes exist there too for some reason, like lines repeated in voiced form and yet the text is different or similar), the game itself is all over the place and a complete mess.

I did enjoy it due to expecting a meme game, but the bugs were everywhere. They even changed engines later after release and that ruined the scene viewer - it doesn't even work. In a game where that is the focus I can't help but laugh.
The other issue i read is that character sprites are of lower resolution after switching engines.
What I noticed is there is only 6 save slots and no autosave feature. Everytime you press right click or leave the save menu it returns to character select screen - basically forcing you to reload that exact save you just made.
Ending screens always show first the previous ending screen and then switch to the new one after a second or two.

The last part i want to mention is the story. Starting off it is funny and good. Then you think you can make a choice - character select and see where the story goes, nice. You finish one character and when you select the next all the development is reset and it seems that the game focuses on a single character run which is fine. But after each character is completed some other character is unlocked. But the problem is that some of it feels like a continuation of the previous one and others downright are a new run. So all of the progress towards character development is lost. I wouldn't be commenting on this if it wasn't for the fact that in the games finale you have basically all the characters acting as if you completed their routes somehow. It makes this game feel more of a mess coupled with the bugs.

Overall yes it is fun to some extent but it could have been a lot better while keeping all the main parts as they are now. The story beats, the characters and their development (its actually good), the art and animation, the voice acting and the actual twist at the end. Just more care and polish was needed. For the bugs and also to tie in a little bit of the character stories.

A neat little puzzle game. Gives off some Escape Room vibes.
The soundtrack is for some reason eerie and I really enjoyed playing this late at night.

This standalone expansion was .... amusing. Weird but amusing.
There are 4 campaigns here plus the whole challange mode but the campaigns have 3 missions each (except the Soviet one which has 4) so the main story can be completed quickly.
I don't really like the whole 1 storyline is cannon sort of thing in games when there are multiple factions having completely different endings but this universe should never be taken seriously so who cares. The most interesting part of this game is the Yoriko Campaign. This is some insane Japanese Schoolgirl Anime parody type of sh*t that I had a blast playing trough. Instead of the other 3 campaigns this one should have been longer and would make this game very unique in the C&C franchise.
New units are introduced. They are good for the most part, some are a little broken and break the game (techically speaking).
The game has INSANE frame drops on any machine when particle effects are introduced - mostly from the units using freezing equipment. Holy hell this brought back to me a lot of memories playing RTS games on my 1st PC. Now I question if it was my PCs fault or just the games awful code....

Still the game was good and even though I got bored at the end with the commander challange I still give it a pass, mostly due to the 3 missions in the Yoriko campaign.
