One of the best games I have played in a long time and an absolute masterpiece. I can't speak more of it without spoiling it, although it has more gameplay and replay value than other "can't spoil it" games like Return of the Obra Dinn or Outer Wilds.

Highest Possible Recommendation.

The art style is outstanding, music incredible, world and in-game manual is a ✳chef's kiss✳ but - Oh. OH!

Okay, there's so much more to this game than you can first see in just a few hours. Persist with it - it starts slow, but stick with it.

Tremendous game, I just wish the creator wasn't such a bigoted chud. Get the psychology mod to remove the bigotry and enjoy.

A fever dream of American oblivion from a queer Japanese man. As subtle as an tsunami, as gorgeous as a supernova, with a soundtrack that wrenches emotion from you to match the desolation that the main character feels. While this game isn't for everyone, I am overjoyed to have played it.

Why do I keep coming back to this game? It's really hard to put into the words why I keep coming back. Even harder to try to come up with a recommendation for others to buy this game. But do it.

I've spent more on bad arcade games via quarters back in the 90s. This should be on Newgrounds, but rest in peace Flash (LOL) and man I am glad it isn't.

Highest possible recommendation. A steal at 5 times the price. You could easily lose your social life and need to play other games with this one.

Nothing I can do can explain this game or why it is incredible. If you are a fan of mysteries or narrative games at all, or have a passing interest in physics, this game is of the highest recommendation.

In a word: boring.

The zombies aren't engaging, the weapons have no sense of weight or impact, the maps feel like a parody of L4D and the characters lack any charm. While the deck gameplay element is a fine addition, it's like a deluxe topping on a garbage pizza.

I have rarely been this disappointed in a game I've bought since Master of Orion III. I am 100% regretting ponying up for the super deluxe version of a game that is not even as half as fun as a $40 dollar B level release from Sega (Aliens: EFT).

Stay the hell away.

You can't go back, you really can't. But the game is all here, plus some new elements. The game takes a small while to get moving, so persist until the second map before swearing it all off. It will grow on you.

How often do you see a game so breathlessly revolutionary, that the mere concept of it pushes the bounds of what possible in games? And how often do you see a game so gorgeously dreamlike and proudly affecting, that it takes on a metaphysical aspect, with would-be fans enamoured by what the game promises by inference. Not often.

Then to release and wildly miss the mark, so much so that purchasers feel a religious level of rejection and the game is dismissed outright? Often.

Still with so much expected and delivering so little, you'd expect the team behind it to chalk it up to a miss and just move on. But they didn't. The redesigned the game from the ground up and began filling a game that was called "a mile wide and an inch deep." Aspects were added, narratives were put in place, promises were being fulfilled and wishes met.

And here we are, years later with a game that lives up to those promises and more? My god. You mad men, you pulled it off
