Did you played the first game? This one improves so much from it, and expands even more in every area. The mechanics, the modes, some missing game settings from the first are here, the game progression, the musical library, the musical genre range, the character roster, etc. Go buy it now!

[PS: Don't mind the play time, I dunno why it didn't updated. I guess I played so much, that I slipped through the time stream somewhere.]

Sorry to say that my hours here do not reflect the many hours I spent playing it on PS3 and Vita for years. I even bought the Nintendo Switch Copy a week before this latest update (the one from June 26th, which was a week prior to this review). I couldn't afford the Season 1 Pass for switch yet, as I decided to wait for a future sale to get it. But I did bought it here day one when I heard that this game was getting new content. So, I was biding my time on the PC version, which was all I had that supported the current development. I got plenty of years enjoying this with my friends, both female, male, trans, any walks of life alike (if anyone cares to know), but aside from the staggered updates for the Season 1 Pass, this game had a lot of years not getting much content in it, yet you remove rather than replace...?

The minute I lower my guard further is when I hear that this loses even more of its identity due to dated iconography complaints (like the Black Egrets having red armbands), and Big Band's Robocop origin story (not because of Police Brutality, but was it because he's black? There will always be a corrupt cop spoiling the bunch rotten, and they will always go against each other if someone tries to go against whatever or whomever "benefits" them, so why really remove this backstory?). Nevermind the Soviet Announcer Pack, as it's not even because it is called "Soviet" that it got removed (can always rename it), but because MikeZ voiced it (a petty move, if you ask me); a pack that was crowdfunded for as a stretchgoal from the first and second gen of the playerbase. Plenty of more accepted revision stuff could've be made to up your world standards, like aging up Filia by a mere two years? (any sexual harassment that came from the villains is still not OK IRL, but it does suppose to reflect the dark tones the game has, as she fight against it; Let's never sugarcoat it. It's a very violent setting, and we have like 4 characters younger than Filia on the roster who, in your eyes, shouldn't even be involved in this. Yet they are. IT'S A WORK OF FICTION! And Depiction does not necessarily equal endorsement.) This game was never meant for all ages, either. Also, Filia's panties being made to be darker tones breaks several color palette compositions greatly. I understand why you did it, but why stop with Filia? Why not edit ALL the girls with Panty shots? Never do half-measures. Commit. You won't. Heck, you even made it worse for Double's and Eliza's story stuff. Extra tentacles was your decision (plenty of which don't even look naturally placed). But aren't more tentacles lewder? the red-wraparounds from Eliza's CGs being so starkly, badly photoshopped is even worse (you chopped her breasts! Learn anatomy! And Photoshop!). Also, the Afro Comb being removed on Filia but not her clone character? Have you never had afros in your entire lives? This doubly convinced me the reason why you removed Big Band's Robocop-esque origin. You don't even know your products.

Among the factions in the game, we got the Medici mafia family that does nothing but running the land spoiled rotten, the Black Egrets private army (they're practically Anti-Nazi, if you read the few footnotes they got from Alex years ago; "All walks of life are accepted in this army.") that does nothing but try to keep the peace of said basically-lawless lands so far in the setting, and several secret factions that have yet to fully reveal themselves, like The Trinity, and the Anti-SG Labs. There's plenty more to remove from here, but you choose the red armbands as meaning EVERYTHING THEY REPRESENT IS NAZI! And as a result, needed to edit EVEN the older concept art? Don't touch design documents, that stuff's sacred! It's like editing the Bible 200+ times across the centuries because one country doesn't accept one or two passages over another, or that they don't like this one author, so said bible version is missing a few books. It's basically like old Rome's history. It fell eventually, despite their entire policy of appeasing minorities and letting Democracy decide other things. Read that sentence right, it's two different things that clash. That said, the red armbands could seem too on-the-nose for some, so I guess making them Black instead of red would've been better? Military armbands with icons are still used in plenty of countries today. And they aren't nazi or similar for wearing them, either. It's like baseball caps, biker jackets, etc. There's also a saying with plenty of multiple meanings that says "Wearing your heart on your sleeves".

Really, just revert ALL, if not MOST of the changes. It's almost like being afraid of the color red, and eventually decide to remove the blood, or recolor any depiction of blood into something like a violet color, or black, or even white. That said, I understand Valentine's change being done due to an old Red Cross threat, so that's something that can't be helped (even if you still kept the Crosses on the heels). The rest, though? It's pretty frivolous. It is. You even remove guest art (not even the second time it happened) because stuff was "problematic". As many have always said, add a toggle for sensitive content. Hide it under that, rather than remove it altogether. Don't edit design documents, like concept art and such, ever again. Revert those changes, too. And don't remove content that was paid for as is, either.

There's a lot wrong here that goes against the sentiment of preserving content for future generations, and you still decide to delete it because some people disagree with it? Don't bother. You didn't even make this game. You adopted an IP from a twice-divorced relationship. Don't take any more from it!

Let's be fair. The Art is cute, the story is actually funny, and the main character is a bunny with a hammer. Very few other titles try to make a game where the highlight could be placed on the hammer as the one and only weapon. Plus, we got the fairy companion, which is far more welcoming than most other fairy tag-along characters in other titles (this fairy is also your ranged attack option). It is a title that's quite inspired by many other IPs that also exist on Steam, if you know where to look, as well as a title that promotes real nonlinear exploration where any path taken only has "soft barriers" of traversal that you can overcome with some core mechanical knowledge. Rabi-Ribi does not require certain mastery to pull off many feats, and the difficulty is very dynamic (you can even skip on 99.9% of the power-ups, and the game is still just as beatable, just harder). That said, there are paths that show up to those that break away from the normal loop and can impress even those that replay the game once or twice more, as well as those that would love to speedrun this game to beat certain times.

Now, by the time of this review being published, my time shows as 3.9 hours, but I have played this game on the other platforms, such as the Vita and Switch, and I had my hundreds of hours clocked on those. On top of the DLC that adds even more to the game's already beefy base content, this game has plenty to enjoy, explore, and revisit every other day. The Steam workshop has other stuff you could use, too. Though, the mod support isn't as active as with other games, I wish the community here was as active. It's pretty much Metroidvania+Touhou in a good sort of way, with some aesthetics similar to 100% OJ and the like. Even the serious player should give it a try, despite what some may think of it at an uninformed glance. I, at least, would recommend buying it full price too, but there will be some times that it might be on sale. In those cases, go for the bundles!

Do you like Ristar? Rocket Knight Adventures? Sonic? Gunstar Heroes? Scoring things with a +5? Parkour Motorbike riding? The Wu Xing (Chinese Elements) system? Turtle Ducks? Treehouse Hangouts? Bloopers? Angst-ridden teen pandas? OneShot? Green Jell-O?

If you do, then you probably already own this game.

This game is the inferior port of the Smartphone title of the same name. The game is outdated in content, it's all from the first 3 months since it released. Every other unit aside from those unlocked via the campaign are ALL paywalled. Let me add to this: The Smartphone version has a somewhat premium currency system called Medals. But these medals can be obtained through progression, events, the endless Daily Login bonuses (every 5 days), and by getting max ranks in stage groups. So, you could get many things on your own. This version of the game? There's the medal system, but NOTHING to buy with it. Everything costs actual cash. It's those DLC packs up there.

Another reason to not waste any time here is that there's no active online here. And if you even attempt to do it, you won't get far vs anyone who bought the DLC. Jeez, paid DLC in MSD... makes me dizzy just saying it.

All in all, not recommended. Do not touch this version of the title. Get the Smartphone version instead, if you ever want to actually try it.

This DLC includes a couple of remixes of "Cha-la Head Cha-la" and "We Gotta Power". But, um, what's the genre they were turned into? Dubstep? One of those "-step" types of songs. I am not a fan of it. Sure, the default theme of Conton City is... silly, at best. But I prefer it until we get something better than that. Not gonna knock the work done for this DLC, but it's not for me. It's free if you want it. The NPC is in the area upstairs on the side of the office building near the School block, the one in front of the Accessory Shop. The City BMG changes when you talk to the DJ Avatar NPC, and it cycles between the songs when you talk to the NPC again. The change is not permanent, but I dunno how to disable it after talking to the NPC.

I do hope we get an untouched, but looped version of the Ginyu Tokusentai theme song. Or heck! The game's own "Character Select/Creation" Theme (not sure if that's already available as an option, at the moment of this edition of my review)! Given that Conton City BMGs can be DLC, as proven here, a lot is open for this game!

Bullet Hell fans, really, do not miss out on buying Crimzon Clover WORLD IGNITION! Non-Bullet Hell fans, really, do not miss out on getting good at this game, you won't go wrong starting with this title. In generic terms. this game's controls are really tight, soundtrack has you immersed in the beautiful light shows of mass destruction. The boss fights only escalate in a cresscendo of thrills and satisfaction upon victories. The levels and patters are tough, but also really fair. It ends up being your fault for getting courner in a fight where you had to draw an eight figure until they're down, for example.

In game-related, the Break system is pretty brilliant. Shoot down as many targets as you can, hold it up, and get great shot power. Or dispense your charges and neatly clean up the entire screen of bullets and enemies whenever you find yourself in a corner. The three modes will help you learn to pilot each ship, but there is a lot of potential in exploring a lot of ways to beat the highest score, as well as your test of tenacity and determination.

This game is an MMO, but it is not like an MMO. This game might seem like a Minecraft clone to some, but it is not like Minecraft at all. This game is free to play, but it is not a freemium title. This game is a lot of things, but this game is not like the others. This game is fun. Play this game.
