The ironic thing about developers moving on from beloved projects with a cult following such as Pseudoregalia, is that the forlorn and dilapidated setting becomes apparently more fitting. I love this game. I love the intense movement mechanics, the amazing level design, the dreamlike music, the FEELING this game gives you while playing is excitement. This was one of the first games in a long while that I looked forward to playing at the end of the day, rather than play a game simply because that's what one does in their free time. Exploring the world of Pseudoregalia renewed some of that childlike wonder I had with games as a kid. This game deserves double or even triple the experience it has now to really explore all the ways you can challenge the player, and really give that full story with a climactic ending. But with the developer stating that there is no possibility of a sequel, and that the Map Update will be the last major addition to the game, it felt like part of that childlike wonder I had regained was dulled. Maybe Im being dramatic, but I always get so attached to these kinds of 2000s era indie games.

Thank you dev, Rittzler. I loved the game you and your small team made, and I fully respect your decision to move on to other projects. I just hope we get to see Sybil again real real soon. :')

PvP seems very server dependent when it comes to an enjoyable experience, but the PvE with a friend is a very enjoyable experience. Very reminiscent of Terraria in terms of overall game structure funny enough. Both games have boss based progression and gear based crafting loops to advance your character in an rpg style.

Needs work and the game often feels stiff. However, as of writing this review the developers seem to be hard at work fixing bugs and improving the experience as well as adding new content.

Had recently joined the Mage's Guild, and decided to rest up since my fatigue was low. Hit spacebar on a bed.

This is possibly my favorite game of all time. It massages my zoomer brain, trained by YT shorts and TikToks to not pay attention to anything for more than 20 seconds. Yet, it is a masterpiece of intuitive movement and mechanics that keep you playing its relatively small amount of content constantly. Simple to learn, hard to master. There are so many little tricks and ways to improve, and that's why I will continue to rack up hours in this game despite having beaten it over 20 times already

If you're here I assume you've played The Binding of Issac Before right? Yeah, have you ever felt like smashing your keyboard after an anticlimactic death at about 30 minutes into your run? Have you ever felt burdened by the monotony of searching the ENTIRE map of an XL floor? Have you ever gotten Mom's Pad as your first floor item? WELL THERE'S NONE OF THAT HERE! ITS ALL FAST PACED ACTION AND SKILL. THIS GAME HAS A SICK OST, COOL CHARACTERS, AND BILL CIPHER's 2nd COUSIN! I definitely recommend this game, especially if you're like me where Isaac can get frustratingly tedious at times.
