This game has to have without a doubt in my mind the best and most active modding community I have come across in a game.
If this game was just the base game I probably wouldn't recommend it and I sure as heck wouldn't like it as much.
However, considering you can properly experience pretty much any genre of racing thanks to modding (NASCAR, F1, Drifting, Rallying, Karting, heck even driving around the Nürburgring in shopping carts.) that's what makes this game special to me.

I personally enjoy drifting and there are plenty of modded tracks and cars to choose from to a point that it's genuinely hard to run out of content to try!
It may take some time to find all the mods you want/like but like I said, plenty of choice.
The game looks visually stunning primarely thanks to a very active modder named "x4fab" who is the creator of "CustomShadersPatch" (CSP) and "Content Manager"
I recommend installing both of these mods as soon as you get a hold of this game as it will make a world of difference, especially Content Manager.
If you don't mind spending a bit of time searching/researching and installing mods I highly recommend to give this game a shot.

This game has gotten me into modding and modeling since you can make whatever you set your mind to in Blender and then export it to AC.
Afterwards, you can drive around your creation and then share it with the rest of the world.
That, to me, is the best part of this game.
