Ain't a "Runner" title, so I didn't go into this expecting one and so far this game doesn't dissapoint.
I enjoy planning roads and infrastructure, making it efficient enough to support the little NPC routes for a long time.

Yes, it needs some work, but it's already a ton of fun!

Failed to join Multiplayer session. Region locked.

There is something there that is interesting. TUrning a wasteland green with fun characters and a nice story.

BUT... it will need some time.
Performance ain't great, gameplay is janky, combat is infuriating, Quality of Life ain't there... I say: Let it cook and see where it will go, currently there's way better alternatives out there.

Unable to save the game after the first storm on multiplayer, which renders most planets unplayable in Coop.

Giving this an 8/10. Pretty much a perfect sequel. Minus points for the DLC and Cash Shop culture and always online ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but yes. It good.

I can't explain to myself why this game gets such good reviews. It's one of the most tedious and annoying survival games out there.

And it all starts with the storage solutions of your base. Going through every single chest which can barely hold anything...
The food mechanic... why is my viking just a weak lump of trash without food?
The well rested bonus... why does it last only such a short amount of time?

Biggest plus point of this game is exploration, but again... it's made tedious.
Like... every few minutes you'd have to build a campfire and sit down until you get your well rested bonus.

If you explore across the ocean and die... well... get ♥♥♥♥♥♥! Better be prepared to grind again for food and equipment and a new boat to ride over the waves to your goal, since nah... a viking can't use his ship as a mobile base.

I am sorry, but there is just a pile of bad gameplay decisions.
On top of that... this might be one of the slowest working dev teams I ever witnessed.
We had one minor content update and now a new biome in what? Nearly 2 years? F

I had my worries when I played the betas of the game as my game was running really bad.
But suddenly on release... BOOM fluid 60fps even on my mediocre rig.

Gameplay, Music, Graphics, Athmosphere all very very solid. Nothing beats the feeling of purging heretics with a chainsword while Jesper Kyds music blasts your ears.
There's some downpoints like the cash shop or the mission selection, here and there some crashes or bugs or lag, but I'm sure that at least the technical issues will be adressed in the future.

If you're a nerd for the civil war, this game is definitely a yes.
But if you can't stand bugs, clunky controls, crashes, deynchs and a lot of other problems... it's a big fat NO at the current state.
