Years ago Gone Home defined the genre of "Walking Simulator" with its narrative driven lack of gameplay. Well the Bayonetta team have broken new ground today with the release of 8-bit Bayonetta - the first game in a brand new genre "Not Walking Simulator."

The bold thrill of not moving to the left or right while enemies lazily meander towards you is captured perfectly here. Wonder in amazement at where the enemies are coming from. Let your imagination run wild with thoughts of what might be beyond the edge of the screen. What wonderous land might await you! But relent - for it is not yours to see. Such is the essence of life.

8-bit Bayonetta is truly a life changing experience everyone should enjoy.

One part XCOM, one part JRPG, one part FTL. Combines for a wonderfully addictive and enjoyable game that definitely triggers the "one more turn" syndrome.

Its rewarding turn based gameplay is matched with an enjoyable if basic story full of amusing references to popular science fiction and quirky side characters. The difficulty scale is perfect and constantly pushes you to keep balancing a multitude of upgrades, missions, and base building like any of the good XCOMs.

The only blemish on this otherwise charming package is the occasional poor rpg-maker tier sound effects used in battle that sound like a compressed audio file from 1999

Verdit: I played 20 hours in the first weekend I bought it on accident.

A game that's clearly a work of passion of a fan of the old Harvest Moon games - Stardew Valley delievers an addicting experience that allows the player to explore the world at their own pace - cultivating the land and relationships with the townspeople.

It's engaging. It's relaxing. It'll make you wonder where the last few hours went.

Ever since Cave Story in 2004 there's always existed a quintisential short list of indie games that are considered a "must play" by anyone who is interested in the hobby. Undertale is such a game. It is passion for the realm of interactive story-telling on display in its purest form - turning multiple tropes so ingrained into gaming culture on their heads in a way that just works constantly bring a steady stream of pleasent surprised to the player. And that's on top of the wonderfully memorable cast of charcters, engaging lore, catchy music, and solid gameplay which build the foundation of the experience.

Undertale is a gaming experience that should not be passed up.

You've never played anything like it.

Compelling witty dialogue makes you want to explore every nook and cranny of this game. Highly entertaining especially for a game that best fits into the genre of "walking simulator"

The best city simulator since 2003's Sim City 4. I whole heartedly reccomend this to anyone with even a passing interest in city management or simulation games.

One of the best game experiences I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Ken Levine tells an amazing story set in a world that you can't help but be pulled in to. Gameplay interweaves both exposition and fun allowing you to tap into the power fantasy feeling of blasting enemies with lighting while also engaging you in the Bioshock universe.

Burial At Sea is one of the only times I would ever say that DLC is a required purchase. It's a justified full fledged expansion and conclusion to Infinite.

Unfortunately for all the potential depth the concept of a Dwarf Fortress style management game in space has this game gives you a very shallow puddle to play in. Also the puddle is full of dirty street water. And the puddle evaporates after 10 minutes.

The fun abrudtly halts when you've completed everything the game has to offer after only a couple hours of play. At that time you've constructed every building and have staff working every job to the happiness of your citizens. Your little humanoids run around your base with a dozen different statistics being tracked that you quickly discover are largely completely meaningless. You are attacked by the same copy paste RNG enemies over and over. It is quite frankly boring and extremely unrewarding.
