I have only played this game for three hours so far and it was a blast.

As a player, I enjoyed the slow burn of anxiety that felt like it was ramping up as time (my battery) ran out. It felt pretty intuitive and I had no issues with the controls. I completed all four levels on Normal difficulty and one level on Nightmare. I died a couple of times, but it was easy to recognize why I died and didn't leave me feeling like I had the rug swept from under me. Very fair difficulty. I could tell I was getting immersed because I even started looking over my shoulder in game as my paranoia grew. Very well done!

As a streamer, I really like how the integration lets your community in on the fun. They can help (or hinder) you in some really fun ways that doesn't discredit the established gameplay. We affectionately named some of the bodies that show up to bunk with us Frank and Larry. Plus it's a lot of fun creating that interaction for you and chat with all of you finding the differences together.

Good wholesome horror fun. I dig it. I look forward to any updates that it gets and I honestly think 7 bucks is more than a steal for the quality of gameplay. Get it. Try it. Love it.

First review I've ever written and I'm happy it is about this game.
I love this game. Absolutely. Just finished getting the 100% achievement for it. That being said, I'm familiar with the story and the directions to go. Where it took a casual stroll for me to be 13 hours it may take someone else new to the series longer as they stumble and talk to people along the way. That is 100% okay. The old games are definitely a take at your own pace kind of deal.

I feel like they did it justice and they added some neat QoL changes like maps and such which they knew 95% of people would google as they have in past iterations of FFI. I've played the NES/GBA versions as well and have to say that they have really knocked it out of the park with the musical score and the pacing of the game.

I understand that every remaster/remake game will have a segment of the OG diehards that are clamoring for the slower walk speed, the very slow exp gain and other such things that really made the game more long and drawn out for a game that was a max of 1 MB on an NES cart. However, you gotta remember...

--- This is a way for them to both bring back the games we know and love and also introduce them to a new audience. ----

Some people desire the 3 hours of grind in one area of the game and I respect that. I really do. Maybe they could add in a difficulty modifier for it. Maybe someone could create a mod for it.
But this definitely feels like something they brought back for all those people where even FFX was their first game! As someone that is here for the story and the music and even the beautiful battle effects... I'm in love all over with this game. I would definitely recommend it to players old and new.
