Sacrificed my best friend to unlock better weapons, accidentally got married, fed my best friend to my wedding guests, then got a quest from a fish to catch rare fish for him. 10/10 shenanigans aplenty

Adorable little game, fun point and click; even for those who normally dislike the genre. Definitely worth your time if you decide to pick it up, it has a charming art style and fantastic narration.

This is easily one of the best games I've played in the past few years. Mick Gordan beat the OST out of the park, and the gameplay matches up, don't sleep on this one bois.

Early Access Review
I don't usually do reviews, however this game is exceptional!

I've had around 10 hours of in-server play, and I've used all the weapon types, and I can easily say that this is my favorite shooter at the moment.

Pros:
- Fast TTK, but not to fast like CoD
- Good objective gametypes
- Quality community (for the most part)
- Seems rather balanced (some weapons can use work)
- Based on a good anime, seems to have original English dub voice actors
- Team centered 'class' skills
- Is cheap

Cons:
- Lack of Auto-Balance
- Only a few maps
- Will be F2P, so might become P2W?
- Spectating can be buggy
- Early Access still (Not really a con?)
- Can't use shooting range with un-purchased guns/mods
- randomized spray pattern might need work

All in all, I would recommend this game (and have been) to anyone who likes shooters, or likes the anime series. I've not been a fan of most modern shooters with their abundance of guns, and toxic communities, as well as long respawns (in the games I've played at least). This has been a nice breath of fresh air, for me at least.

If you have $5, pick this up and have some fun, or wait until it's F2P and join us then, it's well worth your time and 45 minutes worth of work* (assuming you make minimum wage in the US?).

EDIT: There is a CS style AWP type weapon - It's the .50 cal with the damage enhancing barrel. It only has 4 mags though, and with such a low TTK, it's easy to get killed with, a skilled sniper can still make use of it though. I think It should be made bolt-action for fairness, however it should not be nerfed damage wise. It wouldn't make sense for a .50 cal round to only wound someone.

I think this is a must-buy game for anyone who likes teamwork in a first-person shooter game.

Interstellar Marines has a lot of feature I have never seen in any other FPS before, like changing weather patterns, lighting, and even near-total darkness in a single map, changing between various settings. This game keeps you on your toes, and gets my heart-racing with intense king of the hill combat.

Edit as of 2016

I'm still playing the game, so that probably says something.

Since my initial review they've added crouching, and jumping; as well as two new weapons, three new game-modes, co-op and singleplayer missions. The communtiy is still one of the best I've ever been a part of, and the gameplay is still fun, and enjoyable.

I've probably bought 20 or 25 copies of this game for friends of mine over the past two years. As of now, the Dev team has shrunk a lot, and they're looking for a publisher before they start doing any major updates; but if you're fine with just a smei-competetive shooter, and some neat co-op on the side with a fun community, you're $10 will be well spent.

I've gotten over 250 hours of enjoyment (and counting) out of my $10; that's a pretty good return if you ask me, since it took less then an hour for me to make that $10...

Every purchase helps this company, ZPS, continue pushing forward to creating and polishing up an amazing game, and if you're okay with mostly multiplayer now, and are hopful for more in the future; I'd highly reccomend picking this one up.
