Pretty damn good game.

I wish I bought it on release instead of 3 months later.

I started playing it the moment pre-order early access became available and no-life'd it for 3 weeks till I got all items and achievements.

With the new mild content drop for Halloween, I decided to play it again and noticed I hadn't written a review.

- The game is a massive improvement from the first part in all aspects. From gameplay to graphics.
- Devs have been rolling out requested improvements after improvements on a regular basis. Latest patch added highly asked Loadouts, joining lobbies no longer requires for players to return to the World Crystal to spawn (unless in a boss fight).
- They communicate with the players a lot and are as transparent as they possibly can in their decision-making. You can talk to them on Reddit or discord on any day.

I have dumped 170h into the game by the time I write this review and I expect to double the number over time. Can't wait for DLCs.

One of the best games this year, hands down. Especially for a game made by ~80 people (which makes it an AA title)

Vampire Survivors was a miss for me, but Halls of Torment I liked a lot.
The Diablo 1/2 aesthetics are greatly recreated and add to the gameplay.
having more control over character's basic attacks is a big plus.

Decent souls-like shooter

Best in the trilogy, hands down.

Decent indie hack and slash game.

- Story mode is short (~7 hours), plot is pretty basic. Can get the idea even with machine translation.
- Have other modes, like Bloody palace, challenges etc.
- Combat is okay-ish. Not much of a variety fir enemies and weapons, but responsive and pleasing to the eye.
- Speaking about pleasing. Skins are hot, especially priestess and her new succubus attire (fishnet is the best. Fight me). A lot to buy as DLC, but at least one-two colour variants of the most are earn-able in-game. A lot of custom skins are in steam workshop. Also photo mode (similar to Gpose from FFXIV).
- Puzzles are simple. Mini games are meh.

Besides being gorgeous, the skin has unique dodge animation and effect. On top of that, it slightly changes gameplay - dodge can be used in air more than once. Gives opportunity to cheese some jumping parts a bit.

This is what got me to try the game.
