Honestly, I don't review often. Maybe I'll have more to say in the future and edit my review, for now I'll say this game is fun, the prologue got me to actually finally get the game and play it. There are funny references in some of the cards and interesting builds. My only complaint would probably be that some of the cards aren't descriptive enough, and getting to the higher ranks to unlock the other cards can be a bit grindy (though it's a Roguelite so it's expected).

The combat system is fun, when it works, though I will admit it may be a skill issue on my end, I don't feel as though the tutorial truly explained how everything worked. But most of all the bugs were frustrating, for example when I paused the game the resumed play I game to learn when my resolution changed suddenly that my in game actions were still being input in the pause menu as I played. As well as after I fixed the resolution the game continued zoomed out to the point it gave a bit of a look behind the curtain as I saw how they included the game play on the screen, there is a little spot just outside the pages at the bottom where it renders everything, the turns that into images in the pages. Finally in the same fight I suddenly became immortal after losing all my health.

The story and style both were the most enjoyable parts of the experience. For that I'll commend the team, and hope they take the lessons from this game and create other interesting experiences in the future.
