Cry of Fear is my all-time favorite game. After years of playing both new and old titles, I never truly settled on a favorite—until this one. This game carries a deep meaning and an emotional weight that sets it apart. Despite its age, it has an immense amount of love and attention went into its creation, becoming very unique.

For a GoldSrc engine game, the level of detail in the environment is astonishing. It has aged like fine wine, standing the test of time both visually and atmospherically. Compared to Half-Life 1, the graphical fidelity is remarkable, making Cry of Fear personally my all time favorite game. I strongly recommend giving this a decent try for how old it is.
