Wow! Where to begin, this game is just so incredible and so mind blowing that it's a real damn shame this is dubbed by many as "the best game you never heard of". This game is heavily underrated but yet it has a strong cult following.

This is from the genius mind that brought us such great classics as the Monkey Island series and the ever popular PC hit Grim Fandango comes Tim Schafer's greatest creation since Brutal Legend, Psychonauts. This game has his style written all over it from the comedic story to the well balanced game play. It looks and sounds like something out of the mind of Tim Burton from the design to the music.

Psychonauts is a single player experience with a well written story and tells it in a very comedic style that left me laughing throughout the entire game. You play a young boy named Raz who just arrived at camp for psychics and you experience the misadventures he goes through at his time there. Not one character is one dimensional and playing through this game you don't see that in other games. I really appreciated that and what they did with everything in the game. This is possibility the best platformer or let alone the best game I've ever had the pleasure of playing. In no way was the game hard nor was it a push over. It is well balanced and a great pick up for veteran gamers or new comers alike.

I played this game on the original Xbox when it came out and playing it again reminded me how great this game is. This is my second time playing it and my first time playing it on PC. I have to say that the PC version of the game is much much better and it really shows. The graphics on it are much clearer and sharper than on console. And since this is the Steam version of the game, they added Achievements to boot. If you played it already on console, weither is was on the PS2 or Xbox, this is your second chance to play it all over again. My only gripe with the port is that the cut scenes were not optimized for PC, but that doesn't matter. It's a very good game and that is all that matters. :D
