I have over 9k hours, and about 2k was played on official ... I don't recommend official as whenever anything goes wrong wild card never helps, I've lost my character on official about 4 times from character transfers. The first couple times they "granted" me levels but not up to what i lost I was like lvl 95 and they granted me to lvl 70, The next time it happened they said it was against their terms to grant me levels again which is mind blowing since it was a bug on their part and trying to force me to fully relevel my character from level 1 not to mention reguardless of giving me level or not I lost all my imprint bonuses on all my wyverns and gigas which i spent weeks of no sleep to do.... I LOVE this game but I hate the support official gives, its definitely worth playing but I would advise to play on a modded server with a good admin as they can just give you what you lost back for the most part, I've been running my servers since 2017 and thank god I did that cause if anything goes wrong I can just fix it lol I was also getting severely harassed on official... with a lot of racial remarks by someone from europe cause I was american lol he would follow me in game, try and get what i was taming killed, completely surrounded my base in structures so I couldnt even get out to farm meat with a giga, he would drag theris and gigas into my base which he dragged through the water around my gates... and this went on for MONTHS and i submitted multiple reports of proof of what he was saying in chat, and screenshots of him just sitting in my base legit stalking me, he was also stealing eggs whenever he could, it was a legit nightmare, so my advice do not play official ... lol this was PVE also.

I do however have some suggestions with over 5k hours on a similiar game like Ark. I really think a good addition to the game would be electrical lighting and currently the wall torches give off zero light, not like the campfires which actually give off some light. Some standing torches for extra light as well would be a nice touch. I also think reducing the length of night would do really well for the game, its hard to do anything in the dark, I can't see anything even playing with contrast and brightness, I feel like I can't really do much at all while its dark, I've accidentally run into mobs at night I couldnt see, then spent a good hour just trying to get my stuff back and this has happened more than once and it's pretty miserable. So I think shortening nights and giving us some really good light sources would be AMAZING and much more enjoyable :D Something else that would benefit the game and players greatly is reducing the length of time it takes to cut a tree or harvest a rock. 3-5 swings would be ideal... taking 20 swings per tree or rock is extremely painful and I feel would deter a lot of people, most videos I've watched a lot of people try and hit an harvestable resource and just think its not harvestable cause it takes SO long. This has probably ended a lot of players time in the game prematurely. Something else that would be GREAT and amazing PLEASE PLEASE increase the amount of harvestable items in the world, farming trees and rocks is normal in most survival type of games, but spending over 2 hours just trying to find trees to cut down for logs to make 800 timber for ONE cabin is over the top, It's fine to have the crafting mats high I think the mats it takes to craft are in a good place, but the amount of harvestable trees and rocks needs to be 10 folded. There are so many areas for building, creatures to cure and SO many things to do that this is a major block I think for a lot of players that it's so hard to find resources. I'm not in anyway trying to bash or put down this game. I LOVE it and want to see it flourish! These changes would make the game much more user friendly and enjoyable :D Keep up the amazing work!
