I can’t say I was ever a diehard fan of Skullgirls, but I am a fan nonetheless. The stylized hand-drawn characters, music, and the personality draw you in. I played mostly on mobile before ever buying the PC version, but I bought it because I’m a fan of the product they made. but now I’m not so sure. Learning about the recent censorship has made me feel quite different about Skullgirls now. Has the gameplay changed at all because of it? No.

But who asked for the removal of the suggestive imagery, who asked for the removal of armbands, who asked for altered cut scenes, who asked for gallery Art as well as the Russian theme announcer to be removed? I can’t think of a person who would be for the removal of content. But I have never been one for censorship of any kind, big or small. But this is a game people have bought knowing Skullgirls to be suggestive. Removing the suggestiveness is almost removing a part of the identity of Skullgirls. But If they wished to move from the suggestiveness ok, but removing stuff is not the way to go about it.

If they had the option of disabling the “suggestiveness ” I don’t think the pushback would have been so hard. As for the announcer, why couldn't they give an alternate one? For the time and money they spent they could have put those resources into making a free voice pack, an option to disable the “suggestiveness ”. Hence why I can’t support a product that censors and removes content knowingly without an option for players.

There are better ways of handling this and they chose the worst option. But why care about what I have say? They have my money and removing the product from my Steam account would do nothing. So let them continue to respond by hiding negative comments as more positive comments flood in seeming almost with bot-like sentences. I don’t have any ill will or harbor any resentment towards them. I just wish they went about this better.

News update
I am late to the party, but i looked though the community post and found out out this game was crowdfunded back in 2013 so everyone who originally invested money for the games first DLC Charter Squigly . It reached nearly $830,000 with stretch goals for: Big Band, Robo-Fortuneart Several alternate character and announcer voice packs were also funded as well as gallery and voice pack.

What is this ♥♥♥♥ lol but seriously I like what there tying to do but its done it the worst way possibility. How are you going to make a game without a settings page! You hear the same song over and over and over. Not only that no Health regeneration/ pickups. If you told me a high school kid made this for a class assignment I could believe that.
I suspected by how fast you move it would like Doom 2016. And each hit I made a combo meter would come up on my screen puking colors till I want to rip my eyes out.
Don't get me started on the flying, how you going to make tab the move forward button. wwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyy!

Have y’all been to a bargain bin? We’ve all been there before. Combing through the piles of trash just to find something decent? But just when you think there is no hope of a good deal you reach the bottom and you find a Diamond in the rough. And that Diamond is blue estate the game. But don’t stare at the cover for long like I did. Hit play and enjoy the rail shooter genre with a fine mix of dark hummer in Blue estate style.

The game itself is pretty ridiculous and super easy to follow but that makes it an enjoyable ride where you don't have to think much. It's a comedic rail shooter… not Arma 3. This game is leaning towards more killer7 vibes. But If you're looking for something to take seriously you're in the wrong place, for god sake a dog humps one the main carters leg repeatedly through the cores of the game. But Blue estate is nothing more nor anything else but a good laugh and with a wacky story that will leave saying: “I cant believe what I just saw.”

Now on the technical scale of the game, it's decent but it's not knocking your socks off. All the bosses are glorified sponges for the most part but, they all have a way to defeat them faster if the player is quick enough. Yet nothing about them is unique enough to make you go WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE ITS NOT BUTTER! They rely on the writing which carries it though, without it the bosses fights wouldn't be entertaining. On top of that game levels offer challenges for those sweet bones points if you are a leader board type.

Weapon wise you're glued to two weapons for tony it's his trusty infinite desert eagle that blesses with an infinite amount of bullets. I guess Mary is truly blessing that seal in his hand. For Clarence it's a silent pistol… I got no joke for my former navy seal, it's all business to him. But along the journey you'll be given additional weapons that pack more punch and more ammo to riddle them hoes.

Yet its Blue estate dark hummer and wacky story that ties it beautifully together. Without it, it would fall apart. So if you're looking for a fun but sadly short game then check Blue estate out. It's truly a diamond in the rough and deserves more of a spotlight. But since we're on the topic of spotlights let me move that light to the comics. like a drug once you pick it up it's hard to put it down, you’re gonna want more but sadly the game hasn't had more since its launch of 2015. But, like anyone with a drug habit you find more. May I introduce you to the Blue estate comics? I would be as surprised as you if I didn't know. But if you’re looking for a continuation of the video game story, sad to say you’re in the wrong place. The comics tell of a different story retraining around Tony and Clarence. But it mostly plays the same. Tony’s a ♥♥♥♥ up, clearance fixes said ♥♥♥♥ up! Anything after that the comic and the video game have nothing in common.

Check out the comics because they’re actually well written and there is a dynamically changing art style when things are going down! You learn a lot more about Clarence and Tony in their version of LA. I expected it to be meh but it wasn’t. But don’t take my word for it, check out both. You won’t be disappointed in any way. But if you are disappointed please leave your complaint in the complaint box for Tony. He will be with you soon enough with a bullet with your name on it.

Firstly I want to say how I discovered the Darkness 2 at the time. It was a summer day while I was on my PlayStation 4. Bored as hell as I was getting sick of playing Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4 at the time. I was so bored I decided to sign up for PlayStations streaming service of older game titles, and that's where I found Darkness 2.
The cover of the game they had displayed for the Darkness 2 gave me the feeling it was a horror game at first glimpse, compared to the other titles where they had dark twisted imagery. With the Darkness 2, Jackie sat in a chair that could almost be like a throne room chair as the darkness arms came from both sides, the main character lies slumped holding Engraved Colts.
I love the imagery alone as you really can't see Jackie's face as its shroud and darkness for the most, It made me think that we would be playing a character who's already engulfed to this evil monster lurking in the background but, wasn’t I wrong.
I decided to go in blind, not knowing what this game really might be about, and I was taken away by the comic book-like art style, The writing and gun mechanics mixing with the dark powers. If you're running out of ammo, don't worry, there's an upgrade for that. You get to shoot bullets created by the darkness for a few seconds.
Let's say you're pinned down, your Darkness can release swarm of bugs to distract your enemies as you reload or do one of the three executions available through your upgrades. Ranging from Health regeneration, ammo regeneration, and a shield to take some of that damage. (My favorite part about the executions are there uninterruptible very helpful when s*** is going down)
The most common upgrade everybody will be getting is the armor upgrade. It's personally one of my favorite updates just for the fact alone it changes Jackie’s arms. It covered them in the darkness black and purple Colors. The demonic armor looks badass but, be careful though. The moment you enter a light source, your armor disappears until you return to the shadows. Last but not least let's not forget though our little compadre the darkling that tags along with you through the main story. Assisting you in many ways and providing some humor. You can upgrade him and throw him, and he can be a blazing ball of death… I just like throwing him in general.
But if upgrading the darkness itself ain't your style, you always have your trusty weapon upgrades, there are upgrades for shotguns, assault rifles to make them do more damage, have bigger clips, and reload faster.
There was one upgrade that confuses me, for it said it was only for the pump shotgun. After shooting your next shot, it will tighten up if you hit the left click mediately after shooting. That also applies to the Winchester Model 1887. I found that out when playing Vendettas with my friends. Speaking of vendettas, I have a vendetta against 2K now for the treatment of this Co-op story mode. You can see this Horrible treatment in the Darkness 2 home menu when viewing the downloadable content button leading to nowhere. The sale numbers of the Darkness 2 lead the multiplayer story: “Vendettas” to sit on the benches for the rest of eternity. This was heartbreaking to me; I grew immediate love for the characters like “JP Dumond” AKA The witch doctor and Jimmy Wilson Aka, the drunk ax-wielding Irishman. The cast of characters they have for this game mode are very interesting and their responses to each other are hilarious and shed dark humor at the same time. What interests me more is that this multiplayer story is set during the events of Darkness 2 primary campaign. So if you play the story, you will understand what was happening, but I thought my friends would play the game when I got it for them, but no. So I had to fill them on everything that was happening and why it was happening. My friends are not big on the darkness series, but they found lots of enjoyment from the co-op story and even they wish that there was more.
Maybe one day 2K will come back to the darkness series for it's a very well-loved series; that started as a comic book that turns into a video game. I know the guys from Top cow would love to see their series The darkness return to the video game scene and fans like me would love it if they did.

After playing pray, before the moon crash DLC came out, I was very mixed in the first few hours of the game.
I kept thinking of Dishonored but watered-down experience but, In space. The Way the neuromods acted like the whale bones, but instead, You can fabricate them.
Alternatively, how The chipsets and even Psychoscope Chipsets are very similar to the Bone charms.
There were just a lot of similarities I could compare to dishonor except for a few essential things.
They gave us a new story, and with it was New Game Plus, which was highly asked for with a few survival Mechanics. Such as Weapon jamming, weapon Integrity, and oxygen If your suit is badly damaged enough outside a breathable atmosphere.
It has gotten slightly better since the release of the Moon crash DLC, which was a breath of fresh air in an environment that had a lack of air.

Gotham City Impostors is one of the best free to play games I think available on Steam. it doesn't beat Team Fortress 2 at all but it's up there in my opinion maybe sitting at the third spot with them. I've been playing this game since I first ever had my Steam account but then I deleted it cuz I found Team Fortress 2 being a lot more enjoyable and having a bigger community. But 5 years later now I find myself playing Gotham City Impostors again and I come to be surprised that there is still a small community out there. I will always find a full Lobby, I don't know if I'm just lucky or what. But I will say the game does have its fair share of flaws and as it age.
And it hasn't age well. The game old and doesn't look so good But at least you'll get some steady frame rate than if you have a low end computer. The game isn't fluent at all, there's no consistency and there are hackers will meet at least every few sessions you play. And guns are not that well Balance. But there's just something about Gotham City Impostors comedy aspects that makes me overlook the fluency of the game and balancing of weapons. I would have to say it would be the funny voice lines characters give after you get killed by one of them, or the outrages calling cards they have.
Like for example. I have Bane calling card looking down at someone as it says “I live in my mother's basement”. I thought that was funny as hell looking back, and I find it still funny to this day. Then there's the characters themselves, Have you seen a big buff looking character Swinging a katana at you as it has the voice of Mickey Mouse cursing at you? Like where else are you going to find this kind of humor.
I know for a fact if this game was to come back it would thrive. I feel like this game came out during the wrong time for gaming. If that makes any sense. If they were to come back with more customisations like“Team Fortress 2” And general fixes along with Content like voice lines Four characters like “overwatch” has to grind for. And as it pains me to say, maybe... loot boxes. This might be The biggest comeback for a free-to-play game.
