I installed this and my game immediately became unplayable due to constant crashes. I didn't even install or enable mods.

Extremely good, much like pokemon but innovates well on the formula and adds a good sense of humor

This is not the kind of game that has mass market appeal - it is a crunchy flight-sim that made a baby with EVE Online and Elite Dangerous. The game is fairly buggy and it would be safe to label it as a work in progress, but it is still receiving major updates almost 5 years past its release. Additionally, there are many mods for it so there's always more content. Egosoft is a small company of a couple dozen employees, but this game has more content and more support than many AAA games - and its cheaper too.

I've quite enjoyed this game, and I'd recommend it if you're a huge D&D/PF nerd, but otherwise I'd suggest waiting for patches or a sale to pick it up.

The game's core is basically exactly the same as Kingmaker's was, you'll struggle to notice a difference in most situations. However, a variety of mechanics have been improved beyond the limitations that Kingmaker had - for example, flying now makes sense. The breadth of PF content available in the game has expanded greatly as well, with every core PF class present and with a selection of their archetypes, there are few classes that I feel are lackluster in their implementation.

The game, however, is pretty buggy and feels more like a late beta than a proper release. I don't believe that most players will run into the majority of disrupting bugs if they're playing in the real time mode, excepting various performance issues and basic graphical bugs, but turn based mode is a buggy mess. There are a huge number of bugs present in it, from weapon on-hit effects not triggering, to spells or actions randomly failing for no clear reason and wasting the action, to ranges not matching with the displayed range when you have the ability selected. It's still fun and playable, don't get me wrong, but I'd advise that turn-based only be used for important combats until they fix it.

This game has a lot of potential, but the game is currently neither stable or complete enough to recommend. It's clear that this game needed quite a few more months in the oven before it was ready. They should've delayed until mid 2021 so they could iron out the problems and polish it up.

This game has now reached the point when I can confidently say that this game is worth getting.

This game is challenging, but the thrill when you finally beat a difficult enemy is 100% worth it. It does lack some replayability due to a relatively small pool of equipment and different (viable) builds you can put together. The balance is heavily slanted in favor of melee builds, and it's typically difficult to make a viable build that uses miracles, sorcery, or ranged weapons. Still, though, I've greatly enjoyed my time in the game.

Great game. Would dedicate the rest of my life to.
