34 Hours played
Keep in mind, I played this before it went on Steam, I have around 500 hours, back when I wasted some extra money I had on this garbage. Worst decision of my life.

Got banned for 7000 (thats like 10+ years) days because I asked why the game hasn't changed in 10+ years and theyre still charging $15 a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ month for it.

Here's the skinny in pros and cons.

*Pros:*

-Can be fun. Sometimes. Rarely. And it doesn't last for long.

*In-between:*

-Can be run on any computer. Which means there's a lot of potato-laggers on the servers.

*Cons:*

-Lots of potato-PC laggers.

-Graphics equal to a game from 2001.

-Physics equal to a game from 2001.

-Animations equal to a game from 2001.

-Models equal to a game from 2001.

-Sounds equal to a game from 2001.

-Game literally has not changed a single bit in over 16+ years.

-Ballistics are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god-awful. Matilda tanks are practically impenetrable by anything that isnt an 88mm cannon.

-No in-game voice chat.

-FIFTEEN DOLLARS A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MONTH FOR THIS JUNK. Planetside 2 looks better, plays better, and is at least being developed and that's still F2P.

-These ♥♥♥♥♥ have the audacity to force a paywall while they do NOTHING to develop the game at all. (F2P literally locks you to two incredibly basic classes with next-to-zero vehicle options.)

-F2P literally locks you to one incredibly basic class with zero vehicle options.

-Allied vehicles are incredibly overpowered in all aspects because the skilled players are on Axis, which means the Allied players scream and cry for buffs instead of actually getting better at the game instead of trying to zerg everything. Me a a single other pilot in BF-109E-1's took out 15 Spitfires because their pilots were absolute garbage. A couple of their extremely rare elite pilots got sent out to actually give us a challenge.

-Oh did I mention you have to pay $15 a month for this garbage already?

-They have no intention of actually making it fully F2P.

-They have no intention of actually developing the game.

-The tutorials teach you absolutely nothing about game mechanics, I had learned this years ago and had to figure everything out myself from playing.

-The only required tutorial before playing is basically just teaching you how to move and shoot, which means all the newbies are completely useless cannon-fodder because the tutorials teach them nothing thats actually required to advance in the game.

-No anti-cheat. If you face a hacker, you have to manually report them, which the admins/moderators likely WONT investigate at all, so the hackers will get away scot-free.

-If you trash-talk their game on the forums, you get perma-banned. Same for mentioning hacks or hackers, even if you're just trying to tell them to ban someone WITH evidence.

-THEY ALMOST GOT REMOVED FROM STEAM BECAUSE THEY WERE PERMA-BANNING PEOPLE WHO GAVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Then they gave in and stopped. But they didn't stop on their forums or anywhere else.

-Did I mention the devs are awful people who're just trying to take your money?

I would literally rather go into a prison and take 3 ♥♥♥♥♥ to my butthole than pay for this game. It'd probably be more enjoyable too.

---------For anyone reading the dev response, he's full of ♥♥♥♥ lol--------------

This link took me all of 1 minute to find: http://mmofallout.com/wwii-online-removed-from-mmorpg-com-by-cornered-rat-software/

Here's the main takeaway: "We’ve discussed here at MMO Fallout before that Cornered Rat Software doesn’t exactly have great track record on dealing with criticism, what with a very heavily moderated forum that is mostly closed off to the public and only accessible to accounts with active subscriptions. Being a third party website, the WWII Online forums at MMORPG have become a platform for current and ex-customers to vent their frustrations with Cornered Rat Software without fear of being banned in retaliation or simply having their threads shut down. As a result of the clash between former and current players, the forum subsection ultimately became a never ending, out of control flame war."

Soooooo yeah. They removed their listing and forums from MMOFallout because they had no control over the users and couldn't take the rightful criticism of their game. It's pretty much guaranteed that any issues the users complained about then, are still ingame today.

So congratulations, Xoom. You seriously must lack some braincells if you think you could just blatantly lie on a public review and not have it come back to slap you. Also, I laugh at the claim of "clearly a biased review intended to damage our reputation".

What reputation? Your rep for being a bunch of cucks who ban people because you cant take criticism? Or maybe your rep of not developing anything noteworthy in 16+ years. Or how about your rep of Stalin-grade forum enforcment?

Every review is intended to do something. Good reviews intend to bring players to the game. Bad reviews intend to steer players away. Thats the entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point of a review. Also, news flash, look at the reviews on your Steam page and tell me if its good? Well its not. Recent reviews are Mostly Negative, with overall reviews being Mixed. In the case of public Steam games, thats pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad.

Honestly, it pains me to say this, but you're now worse than APB Reloaded. It pains me because APB was good and then it fell, hard. But somehow, SOMEHOW you managed to be worse than them. I'll be watching your game's imminent downfall from the sidelines while laughing and eating popcorn saying "I told you so."

GG no re.

Update 7/8/2023: In an email to existing players, these clown ass devs claimed their "full steam release" had ***THOUSANDS*** of new players joining. Steam charts has recorded a whopping 30 new players joined since the "full steam release". Not only do they blatantly lie about everything, but they dont even put in the effort to lie anymore lmao
