First it was Sony making the game unable to be purchased in around 170 countries and forcing PSN, they retracted PSN but kept 170 countries in the dark, and now the OFFICIAL DISCORD for the game has a power-tripping furry mod that BANNED PEOPLE for reacting to their art with a vomit emoji.

What a joke. The balancing is garbage, the community staff, which aren't paid by Arrowhead or Sony and are doing this voluntarily, are banning people for putting an emoji reaction on a picture, and it seems to me that Arrowhead are backing up their garbage mods and now removed the ability to use reactions at all.

This game is a joke, I'm going to refund it, genuinely.

10 FPS whenever trying to launch things. Modifying the wings is great and all, but to have 10 FPS and be barely able to do anything in the game just ain't worth it. Not for $50 USD. If it was $10 USD, I'd buy it, but 50 bucks for an unfinished, highly un-optimized and laggy game is absurd. This shouldn't even classify as EARLY ACCESS... This should be like, Alpha or Beta build, still not done, a lot of core mechanics are there but the lag is so bad that it needs much more work to be considered early access.

Haven't played since July 27, 2020, just happened to find this when scrolling through my games. Legit bought it the second I saw it.

Am I going to play the game anytime soon?...

Nah. But anime girls! 9/10 from me.

I enjoy VRChat, with friends. On my own in public servers? I highly advise you to not bother. Public lobbies are rarely anything but children between the ages of 9 and 17, screaming slurs, screaming homophobic slurs, cursing, being perverted, and in general being a complete and utter nuisance.

I'm all for a place to hang with friends and maybe get spicy if you know what I mean, but you have to do it in a completely private place, because instead of giving us an 18+ game that doesn't have the issue of children users, we have a free-for-all of racism, sexism, and hackers that crash and sometimes even fry your headset or computer because they're BORED... Or because you decided to chat up this random anime girl avatar that happens to be MUTE and also most likely going to be a GUY, that this person decided is their "e-girl"...

If my experience in private was the only experience I had in VRChat, I'd give it a 7/10, and recommend it. But because of all the public servers and problems, I have to highly advise against playing VRChat, unless you have a community you're apart of that you plan to hang out with.

UPDATE Jan 9, 2024; Shortly after the Pulley update

WINCH SPEEDS ARE GONE. You CANNOT modify winch speeds now. If your winch is pulling in at mach JESUS, and you want to slow it down, TOO BAD, YOU CANT. Another dumbass decision made by Geometa, I genuinely feel like they are trying their hardest to be an even more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ company than Gaijin. Like this is an insane amount of stupidity in one development company. You'd think after having holiday cheer and being on a break would give them time to come up with genuinely good and fresh ideas, but no.

They decided "Let's remove one of the single most-important features the game has, and expect all to be fine." Chances are they won't allow you to make a bug report about it either.

I'm gonna put a bug report in, see what their response is.

100% worth every penny. The gameplay is fun and engaging, it's not easy, nor is it simple. But it's not overly difficult, and it's not overly complex. Every button has a purpose, every switch has something it activates. There's no useless "decoration" buttons or switches. If you want to feel like you're actually there in the cockpit, flying a plane, without dealing with DCS or other flight sims where they have HUNDREDS of buttons and switches scattered about, then get this game. The graphics is a bit shoddy, but the game runs smoothly and mostly without problem.

You have at most 20-30 some buttons or dials or switches to use. A quarter of those you don't even need to touch! You can adjust the seat, the throttle, the joystick, so if you need to move the joystick because something is in the way, you can do that! Or you can switch to classic joysticks where it sits right between your legs. If you want to see good gameplay, watch Operator Drewski on Youtube, older videos but it's still the same game.

Didn't think I'd like it. This is the 1st day I've owned it and I already have 5 hours into it.

So. 152 hours, had the game for... Who knows how long. Do I recommend it? Yeah. Is it fun? Hell yeah. Is there modding ability? Tons. You can find tons of different, wacky mods. Maps, cars, attachments, etc etc... Does it lag? The more entities in the world, the more it will lag. The worst your computer is, the more it will lag.

If you're into sandbox, driving cars, testing physics, messing with the tuning of the car, then this is a good choice. Maybe there's better, but this is definitely a good start. I'd recommend watching some videos of people playing the game first, then make a choice. Or check out other reviews.

0/10 game, constant uptiers all the way to max BR, at that point you get bent over and railed by players that pay their way to the newest planes and strongest planes to spam the strongest air-ground missiles in the game, while your team has a combined IQ of 10 and fight for the only braincell.

Beauty cannot save this game. 4000 hours over 9 years and the problems only get worse

It's a great game, fun to build things, fun to see the likes roll in, and coins. But it gets boring, and if you want to be able to really express yourself, you have to spend money to do so. Free game with paid access to infinite building materials. But not just that, but now they have different "upgrades" for premium. Which is a subscription, it's not permanent, like premium was. If you want a good SANDBOX game, there's better than this. Such as Garry's Mod. More complex to an extent, but pay for the game and you have access to EVERYTHING it offers, and it's fairly cheap, I believe $20 or so.

Treat yourself to something better than this. The dev team is also horrible with moderation and updating the game.
