I really want to give this game a thumbs up, I truly am!

Been waiting for this game to skateboard its way into Steam for a long time and after reading news about it, I bought the game and play it without a second hesitation... untill hours later I found out this game has online-only DRM. The one thing that I should've seen it coming

Look, despite having a great time playing this game and not having internet problems myself, this always-online implementation will scare a lot of the consumers away of buying this game. There's no reason to make a internet connection a requirement for a single-player game (putting MP aside); especially those who either don't have access to the internet at home or traveling on the go. The DRM was there when it released on Epic Games Store and its still present here on Steam.

This could've been a perfect landing but instead it bail right on its face. Don't buy this game until this always-online DRM is gone

This doesn't even deserve my time to write a review about this game. Instead it deserves my thumbs down for shutting down SM2, X Labs and I fear that my beloved Plutonium client will suffer the same fate (unless it survived the onslaught of Activision's cease and desist). We, as a long time COD veterans, deserves better than this.

Common Activision L

Good game, mixed PC port. Everything you know and love about Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is here... with just 2 gripes I had:

- The sound mixing needs some work. Despite turning up the volume to the max the game sounds quiet as hell
- With Denuvo being integrated, its causing this game to slow down. It happen in the menus, whenever I defeat an enemy that drops money on the ground and during World 2. This whole DRM thing NEEDS to go

While I partially don't mind it, it would be nice if Ubisoft added Steam achievements to this game. Sometimes I like to hunt down achievements just for fun; plain and simple. As for lack of controller support, mine turn out fine. Must be the Xbox One I'm using but I got no comment other than that. Didn't play Co-op that much. I tried one match and it was unbearable to play with bad net-coding so hopefully that'll be fix. I can understand disliking the Ubisoft Connect being a requirement to play this game on Steam and the fact that there's no sign indicating that. Personally it didn't bother me that much since we all should've seen this coming and I had done it with other launchers (unfortunately) but additional clients should never EVER be a requirement for any game coming to Steam.

In the end, I'm glad to see this game on Steam and reliving the moments of Scott Vs. the World, but at the same time I wish Ubisoft didn't put a sour taste on everyone's mouth with this PC port. If you don't want to bother with this whole Ubisoft Connect and DRM, best bet is to buy it on consoles. Otherwise, just buy it on PC whenever its on sale. its not the worst thing to happen (I mean Its Ubisoft, the definition of InSaNiTy!), but they should had done better. Until the issues I address gets fixed, I'mma give this a thumbs down.
