Part of the issue is that most of the early stages just mob you with hordes of melee enemies in tight spaces and it's not really fun in the way that Sam is fun; just sloggy.

This is a personal favorite! One of the strongest gameplay of the series; but some of the features of Tib Sun were sorely missed. Get the Tiberium Essence mod; it's compatible with the campaign and multiplayer (some other mods might be too) and retains the Tib Sun feel while still keeping what Tib Wars did in mind.

Sometimes; graphically, Less is more.
I love the lower polycount and chunky look to the models.
I bought this sometime in EA i think and didn't play it much
Though tis full of newer features now.
I'm fond of it, but I've also been playing EDF 5.

Can one game truly be as grand as claimed?
Perhaps not;
But another question is proposed;
Can something akin to a soul be quantified?
The answer is, again, perhaps not;
But this game has been a foundation of not simply many childhoods;
But who one is as a person.

Of the Tiberian Universe; this one was the most atmospheric.

YEARS of my life wasted; but also founded, by this very series...

Is it as good as they say?
Perhaps it is only a manner of the times...

But there's a reason this series eats at the same tables as 1993 DOOM.

A very spinoff-y EDF, but one that understands the gameplay, tropes, humor and formula well.
