Star ist erneut der titelgebende, aus vielen kleinen Kristallen zusammengesetzte Roboter Knack. Auch das Grundprinzip bleibt: Knack 2 konfrontiert euch zu ungefähr gleichen Teilen mit Action-Sequenzen, Jump'n'Run-Passagen sowie Rätseln. Die Kämpfe gegen Kobolde, Roboter und kleineres Getier stellen dank der erweiterten Schlagmöglichkeiten das Highlight des Spiels dar.
