I've been looking forward to this for a while after playing the demo. It's really fun and relaxing with some really interesting puzzles. It's also really gorgeous to look at (both on my PC and Steam Deck) with plenty of accessibility settings which really show accessibility was considered throughout and not just as an afterthought.
I did manage to complete it in a little over 5 hours, so my only negative would be it's quite short for the price. However the game isn't padded out with needless back-and-forth.

I've been looking forward to this game for ages and it didn't disappoint. The story is wonderfully written with some of the most beautiful and delicious artwork I've seen, it made me genuinely hungry to try all of these dishes (not that I have the skills for that). It was also really wholesome to see a genuine look at the struggles and happiness of trying to raise a family in a different country with different cultures, navigating the difference between a parents upbringing and their child's, but doing so with love and understanding.
The cooking ended up being more interesting/harder puzzles than I was expecting from the demo, which were fun to work out and while I think they are easier with more cooking knowledge (eg what kind of ingredients might be added when) they were still very accessible.
The only downside I had was that the game was as short as it was, I would have loved to play more and discover more recipes, and I'm already hoping for some DLC. At first I had thought this would be closer to cooking mama in the number of recipes and the focus, but instead the cooking is incorporated really well into the primary visual novel of the game as an act of love.

This is a great relaxing casual puzzle game. The puzzles aren't very hard but the story and storytelling certainly kept me coming back. The art style is absolutely gorgeous and soundtrack was great to listen to, it'll certainly be going on my playlists.

Overall exactly as sweet and fun as it advertises itself to be and well worth the price tag for a few hours of relaxing fun.

A wonderful little demo of what I hope is much more to come. It has clearly been made with lots of love and hard work and I'm excited for a full release.

I'm a fair fan of point and click puzzle games but the story for this game just outclasses anything I've ever played. After playing the first half I could not wait for the second to be released (back before they'd both dropped) and it did not disappoint. I thought I had the whole story figured out at least twice but NOPE, it defied my expectations every time.
The art style is obviously beautiful and the characters are very relatable in the story with depth and motivation of their own, rather than just being blank canvasses through which to tell the story.

Some of the puzzles are a bit fiddly, I had tonnes of trouble with the knot puzzle, but that could very well be down to my own skills, plus they're not 90's point and click adventure level difficulty to there's that.

Overall I cannot recommend this game enough.

I was disappointed by how short this game was and how easy the puzzles were. It's definitely beautiful and has the potential of a really interesting story within it. However a lot of the puzzles were simply too easy to classify as puzzles.
As other people have said at full price it's not worth the money, thankfully I got this in a Humble Bundle as I'd have been annoyed as opposed to just disappointed otherwise.
On the other hand if you want a short, relaxing and beautiful casual puzzle experience, this is an excellent game for that situation. It feels like a very polished University project, which if that's what it is the creators have done very well.
