Nine Sols has one of my favorite combat systems of all time.

There's a lot more dialogue in this compared to other games in the genre. The dialogue is good though, so I didn't have a problem with it. It's also more linear, but that comes with a lot of benefits as well. The platforming is also great, but unfortunately your skills are never truly tested.

It's a game that is very honest about it's inspirations, but it adds so much artistry and style that it still manages to be it's own thing.

Probably the best place to start if you want to try a FromSoft game.

Dark Souls is good. Shocker.

More Portal 2. I felt that the puzzles started out at a really good difficulty but got significantly easier further into the game. The writing also isn't on the same level as the original game but I'm still glad it's there. More Portal 2 is good.

Bennett Foddy gets a B in philosophy.

Perfect video game storytelling that I can't tell you more about without lessening the experience. Play it.

This should not be seen as the ending to a trilogy. The store page doesn't lie, it really is a puzzle expansion. I went in with low expectations and thankfully didn't come out feeling like my time was wasted. It's short and comes with the Penumbra Collectors Pack so I'd recommend playing it and forming your own opinion on it.

The story is in focus here and that's a good choice. It feels far clunkier but there are points where the narrative reaches the heights of SOMA. Amnesia:TDD improves on literally everything else, though.

Worth playing if you're a fan of Amnesia or the genre as a whole but Overture is truthfully more interesting to look back on mechanically. I enjoyed this.

Obviously very aged but don't let that scare you! If you, like me, are a fan of Frictional's later work I think you'll likely have a good time with this. The Amnesia series improves on nearly every aspect of Penumbra though, so it's far from a must-play even if I can safely say that I personally enjoyed it a lot.

To me this was more enjoyable than Dead Space 1 in every way. The horror never hit for me anyways so the move to action was simply an improvement. Gameplay has also been refined and feels leagues better while keeping the same tension DS1 pulled off so well.

Important to note though is that the otherwise buttery smooth gameplay is limited to 30 fps if the in-game vsync option is enabled, so make sure to turn that off and activate it in your graphics control panel instead.

Please give this one a chance, it doesn't even need a remake!

Had some seriously frustrating issues after disabling 3D-acceleration, but somehow I feel that it was by no fault of the original PopCap devs. Some parts of reaching 100% completion were really boring too and not nearly as challenging as they should have been.

I'd still recommend this to literally anyone, though. It is crazy charming.
