It's a neat little appetizer for whatever Bendy: The Cage will be, and it's also mostly consists of set-up for said game, as well.

Despite being what is essentially a playable teaser, there's a plot here, albeit a simple one. It appears that we're playing as a teenager named Riley and we witness the downward spiral of her mental health after her parents died in a car accident, and I believe that this game takes place in a nightmare she's having. On that note, the whole game feels very dreamlike, with how random stuff just kinda happens and we jump around from place to place haphazardly. It really hearkens back to the simplicity of that original BATIM Chapter One demo from 2017, I can't describe why, but Secrets Of The Machine gives me those vibes.

Interestingly, the car that killed her parents is represented by Gaskette, this detail serving as my bi-monthly reminder that Bendy In Nightmare Run was a game that existed once.

I can only assume, just from reading the description, that this will be updated with more weird puzzles as we get closer to The Cage's release. So far, I think what we got here is interesting. It's nothing mindblowing, it's just a neat appetizer, as I said before. The one things that irked me about this was the view bobbing... it's a little too much bobbing for me.

Overall: a decent experience, play it you're invested in the Bendy story like I am.

(Riley got fired by Joey Drew himself for being a weirdo, I thought that was really funny for some reason)

Let me start by saying... HOW IS THIS GAME FREE!?!?!?!

If you are a fan of Vampire Survivors or that buillet-hell style of game you are gonna love this. It has all the depth of VS but with even more depth. There are 3 types of items, Weapons which are obviously the way you kill enemies, items that give you a bunch of different passive buffs and what not, and lastly skills which are unique passive skills for each character. Speaking of every character has a unique weapon and item just for them.

On top of the normal VS "level up and you get a new item or level up an item" there are anvils that allow you to upgrade you items, and after you max your weapons you can get a gold anvil to combine two weapons into one! it's so cool.

You unlock characters by rolling in different gatcha banners that all use the in game currency (no pay to win), and from what I've gathered they are based off real Vtubers? Not a vtuber fan myself but I like the designs none the less.

Lastly there are two different types of ways to play the game, the traditional VS hit whatever direction you are walking OR you can use your mouse and AIM YOUR ABILITIES!!! Man it changes the whole game up.

It is equally as hard as VS, in fact I would say more so, and while you can definitely tell that this was inspired by VS it is it's own thing.

All this and I didn't even mention the customize-able player housing and mini games that are there... I'm sure you could spend hours doing all of that and I haven't' even touch that part of the game yet.

TL;DR It's inspired by Vampire Survivors but offers its own unique gameplay and has a lot of things you can dump your time into. 10/10 would recommend.

100% worth it, this game was part of my childhood. Also Charles is by far the best character.

The game is not very scary and after a while you get used to the game, but overall it is a good game with great jump scares
