The good thing about this game is that it's the best workout vr game.
The bad thing about this game is that it's unfortunately the only proper workout game.

Take any boxing vr game, combine it with beat saber and take away the "game" part and you get yourself a boxvr. What I didn't like about beat saber was that for a workout purpose it focused too much on a wrist movement and with intense "hard" songs it could interrupt your workout by showing you game over. None of that here. You are forced to move your entire body to hit cues. And while patterns are simpler, you can focus on doing proper movements that actually train your body instead of fumbling when things are going too intense, As for comparison with other boxing games, what I didn't like in a lot of them is that they are basically waiting games. You wait for an opening, you also need to learn how to read animations and then you make a few quick punches which don't feel satisfying as you can feel no feedback so it's like punching a balloon figure. Here you punch abstract orbs, so your brain doesn't expect any feedback from punching those, and you get feedback! Orbs explode with confetti and a satisfying thud. You also don't need to wait for opportunity to punch as orbs come at you constantly and there is almost no learning curve in reading your oponent. Everything is simplified to just make you move. And if you fail a few punches nothing stops, just keep on punching. Your calorie counter will go up anyway. Oh, did I forget? There is a calorie counter. It's like a no brainer to have it in a workout game but almost no other game has it!

But as I said it's "unfortunately" the only such workout game. Unfortunately because there are a lot of bad things. For starter it can lag A LOT which should never happen in a rhythm based game (make sure the desktop mirror window is in focus to make it not as prominent). There is a bug in custom workouts that fails to create track from your music if you live in place that uses anything but dot as a fraction separator (you have to set your computer's locale to English then). But even if you could generate your own workouts don't bother as every song just repeats a few basic patterns constantly, often with no relation to music, stick to premade workout routines, they sync to music way better. Main menu is simple, but I'd say way too simple. You can basically only choose how long workout you want but there is no indication how hard it's going to be, how many squats you'll have to make in a row or what genre of music it's going to be (I hope you like rap, because there is A LOT of rap). And many many more other small but annoying issues (read forums to get the full picture).

But still, this is a game that I now run daily, sometimes for multiple hours in a row. And I certainly can tell that I've gotten more fit thanks to it. So despite all the criticism for it I still recommend it if you're looking for a workout game, vr or otherwise.

Ever since it's release it's been consistently number one most played vr game on steam (for as of writing this review 7 months). What other recommendation do you need?

I played it during the free weekend.

Does not seem to run too well on Windows Mixed Reality headset. You cannot pull scopes close enough to your eyes to actually see or it looses tracking, touchpad walking is somehow faster in reverse than forward. In general it felt like I was fighting the controls the entire time. Especially when my hand was flying off.

I know it's unfair to rate it down as it doesn't state it supports WMR but as it is now I cannot recommend it, as I don't have Vive or Rift.

Apart from two cases of Stockholm Syndrom the story was really predictable and just dragged on and on. It was really tiring experience and didn't offer enough payoff to make up for it. I got only one ending but I really don't want to replay it.

I'd also like to point out that you apparently need to be chinese to understand why it it socially acceptable to tolerate or even enforce kidnapping, child abuse and forced marriage. Content warning: all of these things exist in this VN, even if only as a ghost hanging in a background.

No, just no.

I may be an unredeemable weeb, but this is where I draw a line.

You are a space ship that shoots clothing off anime girls. If this is your cup of tea... just get some hentai doujinshi.

For start this is not really in English. Like others have said it reads awkward, like it was auto translated from another language. Except it was not because I doubt an automatic translator would confuse "there", "their" and "they're".

Music is acceptable except it is not stitched correctly, there is a gap as it loops, and those are not even very long loops (less than a minute), and there are only 2 pieces of music. Backgrounds look amazing but they clash with character sprites. They are very bad, like made in early flash games era bad.

Interface is bare bones and lacks a lot of features you might expect from a VN like skipping read text or even any kind of options menu. You can'e even close a game from inside, there is no "quit" or "exit" in menu. You need to alt-tab to something else and close it from Windows.

As for a story... what story? It's more like a prolog. It just a few minutes long explanation of a setting through an internal monologue (most of the time) and then as things start to get interesting it just cuts to a few lines of epilog and abruptly kicks you to main menu. It feels unfinished in a "What? That's it?" kind of way. Choices don't matter at all, they only affect next few lines of text.

Do I recommend it? Absolutely not. It's not worth your money but most importantly not worth your time.

It wasn't the worst VN I've ever read but it's still pretty bad.

Characters were mostly one dimensional with either no personality or off-putting personality. MC is a jerk and main love interest falls in love with her for no reason after two days of no interactions. There is no development what so ever. There is also no reason for a reader to care about MC's struggle as love interest is not presented in any interesting way.

Art is pretty basic. What you see on the store screenshots is pretty much everything there is. There are also no CGs. Interface looks unfinished.

Story may be considered ok for a short story it is, but it was presented in any interesting way. It felt like a bad fanfiction, with a basic descriptions and little to no insight into characters minds and a lot of shortcuts to just push the story forward.

I'd like to also point out that this is a kinetic novel (no branching paths) so you have no influence on story or characters. I'm not taking points away for this as there are good kinetic novels out there it just isn't one of those.

For audio, there are no sound effects at all. The only positive point I can make is music, which is not annoying. It serves it's purpose as a background.

Overall I cannot recommend it, even if it was free.
