Quite impressive graphics and scenery rendered, combined with unique bosses that make for a good controller practice. A relatively wide variety of skills and attacks help prevent it from being excessively repetitive. There are also plenty of references to the Journey to the West, although some can be cryptic, especially for those who may not be extremely familiar with the story. That said, it's not all roses. Texture issues can be present (e.g., in chapter 3) in specific settings; roads with invisible walls can be frustrating and misleading; automatic targeting can be annoying when it makes you swing your staff at some faraway enemy while the one nearby is hacking you to death; and RNG can be unforgiving if you are looking to be a completionist. Overall an interesting game worth a try.

The story was mildly engaging but the controls are really clunky and not intuitive, especially if you returned from a hiatus. The combat was also somewhat repetitive.

There are only two buttons to press but it's harder than some of the MMORPGs.

The story and gameplay is recommendable, without the need for excessive gacha elements. However, technical issues such as being unable to sync between PC and mobile, not being able to load (the loading screen) in background, and poor texture resolutions makes this PC port a poor QoL game.

Not open world or story-based as expected, as it is played via "levels" or "chapters". Controls are funky and combat is repetitive - to the extent it is dull and unenjoyable. Story is rather simple, or in some cases, boring. Visually decent, but looks blurred and outdated on higher resolutions. Overall, underwhelming for the anticipation and hype; regretted trading for this.

First Impressions
While the premise and setting is interesting enough to get hooked into, the story pretty much becomes a generic fight-the-bad-guys shooter. The variety of weapons and arsenal is big enough to fiddle around for a short singleplayer campaign, but the maps are highly restrictive with many invisible boundaries that cannot be crossed or jumped over, such as the playground path, certain ramps, walls, and in some cases, grass. The destructive environment adds a nice touch, but overall I cannot exactly see any memorable events or replay value in its singleplayer campaign. In addition, major bugs still exist, rendering NPCs stuck and story not being able to progress smoothly.

Quick Review
Overall, the story was playable enough. The inclusion of a collectible mechanic in the game seems weird, but the newspaper articles do contribute enough to the storyline. The sketchy invisible walls do make the game mediocre compared to other shooters out there, however, making the path extremely linear despite the map's relatively large size. The controls are average, though I experience no input lag unlike some other players. The player is only able to interact at certain timings, such as when your friendly teammate has (almost) finished climbing the ladder or when everyone else has jumped down into the tunnel, which then you can press an interact button to do whatever is asked of you. The dialogue, while to some extent interesting and realistic, can get extremely annoying when trying to fulfill certain missions. Time taken to complete singleplayer: 3.7 hours.

Opens game; requires Daybreak account; creates one; shows password in plain text; verifies account and launches game; receives G29 error loop; hasn't played the game after an hour.

Quick Review
Finally able to enter the game, unfortunately closest server has 100ms ping. Initially died because fist hits don't register properly, then died because helmet couldn't handle a bullet (realistic, but meh), and finally died because someone saw me from somewhere I couldn't see (first-person peek versus third-person peek).

Quick Revew
Paid for it, experienced uneven matchmaking and unbalanced heroes, then went free to play after leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Quick Review
Borderlines on boring, as its main focus is dependent on achieving the highest possible score and unlocking every available customisation ('basket', 'theme' and power-ups). Music is slightly repetitive. Visually, it's relaxing due to its cardboard cutout-type graphics, but it can be further improved. A minor bug with one of the power-ups. Recommendation really depends on whether you like a game of such genre.
