Warning / / Skating is hard yo! / / Even the control guide warns you saying the controls are going to test your patience. I love it. The controls take a good deal time to master. Both sticks are used for most actions Example: how to Ollie, Hold one stick down and slide the other in the opposite direction when you want to pop. Mimics the real thing in a way one foot stomps that tail other foot slides up the board as you jump. I appreciate the settings like being able to control flip, scoop, and turn speed in different ways. So far I am liking input speed for flip tricks, and scoop. Cool intuitive way to add style to your tricks. I found the default setting for body rotation which is pressure too easy to over rotate. Opted for timed, now i am throwing smooth 180's variations into lines. The catch mode I wish worked as simply as Skater XL where you click in the thumb stick and the corresponding foot catches the board. Can't seem to do flip tricks and land catching with the font foot in manual catch mode, or it's just less exaggerated compared to Skater XL. Where you can catch the board and spin with it stuck to one foot dangling. Overall having a lot of fun. As for visuals it is
quite polished and looks good in it's current state. Features one big New York level with a-lot of spots to find and play with compared to Skater XL the LA courthouse level feels tiny.

Closest thing to Skate on Pc. Fun controls utilizing both thumb-sticks for separate feet. Feels different when compared to the Skate series or Session. Really fun once you get the hang of it, will take some time to master. Allows ability to add steeze to them tricks, pop higher & wind-up spin before the pop. In the current build there are no grab tricks, or late flips. Needs more content and workshop support. I understand It is currently in early access things will only get better. With modding adding maps is pretty easy, after setup then drop downloaded maps into a folder and go. As it is now I am having fun and recommend it if your itching for a good Skateboarding sim on pc.

5 Years of early access. Shady practices like jacking the price up for a steam sale. Still a buggy desolate, walking, looting house simulator with a sprinkle of getting killed on sight. Melee combat is a nightmare. I feel safer and take less damage punching out zombies, opposed to using a hatchet, ax or any other weapon.
