Frankenstein is much more than a science fiction novel. Frankenstein is an amalgamation of various themes, ideas and more importantly the science fiction genre, gothic horror genre and romantic genre. Science is used to present the positives of romanticism in a literary rivalry while the gothic horror genre is utilised to describe the negative aspects of science. Frankenstein is much more than a science fiction novel and to say it is limited on one genre is ignorant of the other genres intertwined within the novel.
