I backed this game on Kickstarter for the Switch and got a compensation to play it on Steam. So happy to finally play it! With some bugs here and there like repeating cut scenes and walking glitches or getting stuck in walls - this game turned out way better than anticipated.

It's like Animal Crossing married Stardew Valley and had a baby that resembles the classic Harvest Moon games (GameCube fans - unite!) while getting some bits of Zelda dust as garnish by presenting elemental giants and the temple goddess. Yet the game is able to stand on its own by thematic exploration additions like the diving area and storylines. I'm hooked. I need to play just one more day..

On final note, I would say the cut scenes are rather slow and conversations/heart events can be a bit bland or extensive. Asking someone to hang out in similar places is very repetitive. So I found myself skipping through some of the content or did not bother to commit to getting max hearts for every NPC in the game. There were simply too many characters in the game to build a relationship with to make it memorable or keep it fun.

This is by far my favorite CSD game. The game can be played at whatever pace you like. I'm addicted. Whenever I need a quick game for those few minutes to spare I'll play a level (read: I'll continue to restart a level until I hit gold). The game is challenging if you want full completion but it's definitely doable. I haven't even fully explored it yet and I keep getting back to it without feeling rushed to finish it.

However, I do feel like they could've done more with the daily buzz as it was a fun mechanic in CSD1. As well as the mechanic upgrades and daily special. Another improvement would be the controls for decorating your own restaurant but you get used to it. And the amount of content is insane so I don't actually play in my own restaurant that much.

Worthy purchase! A lot of fun but also room for improvement;

+ Has a bit of a learning curve
+ User friendly interface
+ Fun easter eggs
+ Once you figure out how to reach level goals you can dive in deeper to challenge yourself

- I miss the upgrades for all the rooms such as the surgery rooms
- I wish I could decorate the general floor of the hospital
- Sorting abilities should be grouped on treatment/GP (skill) not by the amount of skills someone has

Early Access Review
I disliked this game. This game is indeed a complex simulation but lacks in many aspects. You can easily wait about 3 hours to build new objects or buildings - or risk going bankrupt. Then you'd have the option to play with unlimited funds but where's the fun in that? There is a lot of potential in the game but even the original rollercoaster tycoon requires less waiting than this game.

I've played airline tycoon 1 when I was younger and I have to say the game grew along with me. Part 2 is much harder and more fun to play since you can do/build/buy more than ever before. Really enjoyable :)
