I'm not sure what the trend is for these VR games to be all doing basically the same things with the same problems. If you've played any other VR arena game, you've practically played them all. Some obviously not as polished as others but nothing too crazy new here either.

-Dungeon crawling progression feels alright.
-Magic feels restrained by very low mana reserves.
-Forget about keeping a weapon you like using. It'll be gone after 3 or 4 goblin kills. I get the idea behind adapting, but nothing feels worth switching to after something you like breaks.
-Kicking anything feels way too sluggish. Should cut the animation time to kick down by a half maybe.
-The slowmo effect seems to happen almost randomly and gets irritating. Almost makes you think your headset is faulty from time to time lol
-VR locomotion movement will randomly stop when moving forward.
-Deflecting is near impossible for certain enemies.

Overall it's a very standard VR arena game with nothing memorable to back it up. You're better off looking elsewhere for a good arena/dungeon crawler experience that will keep you satisfied.

The most addicting hack and slash brawler combat ever made. Backed with the innovated Nemesis system, you'll be entertained for hours along with getting the best gear sets for your preferred play style. And to top it all off, it's set in the LOTR universe. Graphically stunning, numerous and varied orcs to have for your personal armies, and good DLC to follow through with. What more could you ask for?

*NOTE: Pit fights are unbalanced so be very cautious of who you send in there

9.5/10

Would absolutely love a 3rd title release!

Quite literally the best of its kind. Been a fan since KF1 as many were and they doubled down with the delivery.

-Graphically this game still holds up and does gore better than any other game STILL even 8 years later.

-Gunplay has always felt fantastic. Plays great and responsive on both M+K and controller. Huge variety in weapons + all of the DLC weapons for a fresh take on both modern and old weapons alike. Granted some of the weapons feel better than others depending on the situation, but I always end up with what feels the best and can get the job done. The visual feedback you get just from slaying down ZEDs alone is something that pulls you back into it even years later.

-Music and sound design is really well done. Not much else to say there but it does fit well here in KF2.

-Replayability is obvious with this one but it's even better alongside with a crew of friends or even some randoms you come across. The more people you have running with you, the harder it gets so choose your perks carefully!

-Speaking of perks, there's something for just about everyone here. The only perk i've never cared for was the survivalist personally but it is still useful to have for those who like having a backup plan or wanting a mix of just about everything.

-The community has gone above and beyond to give other players a tremendous amount of added content via through Steam Workshop and some of the workshop content eventually got baked into the vanilla game for events and other extras.

-Works very well on the Steam Deck too for on-the-go ZED mayhem.

-The tonality or overall theme is a little different compared to the hard grit and horror KF1 brought to the table. For a lot of people, this stood out only just recently as a hot topic and I don't really mind the progression from the stages of modern times and creeping in the future tech world. KF1 had it's horror charm era and KF2 has it's tech progression era where things are still advancing as time goes on. So to me, it makes sense. I enjoy both KF1 and KF2 settings respectively as their own. It would make sense if they were to follow up KF3 into a more futuristic setting considering it'll be set in 2091. Who knows... They could still pull off a ton of horror elements similar to KF1 and still be futuristic.

KF2 has always felt way ahead of it's time in a lot of areas and definitely worth mentioning since most other AAA companies have anywhere from triple-quadruple the amount of devs + all the funding they could ask for and BARELY scratch the surface of what makes a good game a fun one. Even if you were to take away the graphics, the gameplay itself could still hold it's own. They pushed the limits of what UE3 could do at the time and it still stands out way further than anything we have today dealing with zombie killers or wave shooters. I'm certainly looking forward to what they do with KF3.

If you haven't played yet, you've been f**king up.

Buyer Beware: Early Access Risk

I will personally wait a good while for the fixes and gameplay improvements. Like everyone else has said, it has potential but right now Sea of Craft just feels bare bones with the annoying tutorial stages, can't connect to any of the limited servers (Europe and Asia only) just to continue past the tutorial to play any singleplayer content, and lack luster content both graphically and gameplay wise. The first impressions sort of left a stale taste after about 10 minutes into it.

Besiege but on endless waters sounds cool on paper, but I'd wait a bit before buying into it.

If you enjoyed the first one, you'll love DL2.

The game is massively fun with friends and is a welcome treat for those who like having enough things to rummage through and do. The second map/area you visit was a real jaw dropper (I won't spoil anything about it.) Can't say i've ran into any game breaking bugs, but only some very minor visual glitches and animation placements of NPC's.

And it's safe to say that this sequel so far is a solid 8.5 or 9/10 for me personally. Not sure why people were comparing this to Cyberpunk 2077 and it's launch state, but I guess that's just a trend to pull in expectations and doing it for the meme.

We really did have it good back in the day with the previous BF titles... But this ain't it.

I'm going to assume this will ONLY get better within 2-3 years later just like the previous games.

Congratz EA on always rushing out games and rushing developers to meet a quota like all the other AAA gaming companies and still not learning after all these years.

DICE, please save yourselves and heavily consider not working alongside EA. We sincerely want to like the game and play it with everyone in a functional manner, but even I can tell you guys have more potential without EA breathing down your necks and making absurd money-hungry-game-breaking-copycat decisions.

All we wanted was Battlefield. Not Apex Legends with extra steps.

Solid game mechanics but frequent crashes and community ruins it by mic spam/ear rape and random deathmatching.

Was hoping for a thorough playthrough but it got reduntant playing with Among Us type players yelling "sus" every 5 seconds, even when nothing major was happening.

When you had to pay = Probably.

When you get it for free = Absolutely.

When you wanna throw money at your screen and it gives you a thumbs up = Yeah probably.

Overall = Absolutely... probably.

Valheim is the viking survival game we never expected. Too often, survival games tend to have a lack luster effect after so many hours of doing the same thing over and over. But this game turns that idea around with player hosted servers (both online and offline), gives you a purpose to survive with basic goals to reach, and combines it with a fun yet challenging combat system that should stay simple but hard to master against bigger bosses/enemies.

-The world is unforgiving and pleasant all at the same time. With creatures roaming around among the lurking Greydwarfs and to the oceans where sea serpents are an intimidating sight. The trees surround you in abundance with multiple purposes and types to craft from. Be sure to wear a helmet... for they do not care who you are while falling towards the sacred grounds and will consume your life if you're not careful. And as for the trolls, I'll let you experience that by yourself ;)

-The bosses so far are definitely challenging. You're going to want to get all the necessary equipment and upgrades to take them on. Sure you could get by with just a flint axe and crude bow, but with the right armor and right tools for the job, bosses will be a breeze to take down (also helps if you have a crew of people to help you).

-Crafting and building aspects alone are very intuitive and easy to learn once you get a foothold on how structural integrity works along with smoke physics (yes there's even smoke you have to worry about within your houses which personally, i love that feature). There's always upgrades to be done to your settlements you create alongside your friends and that to me feels genuine and something that not a lot of survival games do right.

-This game nails the idea of "simple but complex if you want it to be". Exploring? You can do solely just that or settle down with friends, or do strictly pvp styled gameplay for fun (not usually my type of play style but it's there if you want it). You aren't tied down to just doing certain things but more so approach it how you'd like. Not to mention they have stealth mechanics too so you can relive your thief/assassin build from Skyrim again. There's quite a good number of nice perks to the game, like repairing structures and equipment is as simple as hitting the repair hammer icon in the workbenches. Yup. No required resources needed. The game gives enough challenges and them just giving you a quick fix button is a nice free treat to be had with a survival game like this.

Overall I'm having a blast playing with friends on this unexpected adventure with Valheim. And the craziest part is, It just came out with little to no bugs other than optimization problems here and there. Maybe an unpopular opinion here, but the graphics here don't bother me being low-poly styled. Graphics to me don't mean crap when you're having this much fun with friends to be honest. I didn't bother comparing it to Rust or anything similar in terms of difficulty (because there's always a good chunk of players who mention Dark Souls no matter what game it is lol) BUT a solid 9/10 rings true for Valheim!
