Not your typical BR game, Super Animal Royale (SAR) is a top down BR with a twist - you're cute furry animals vying for Darwinian domination over 63 others in the food chain and boy does it deliver.

Simple concept teeming with care and love in almost every detail, from the map to the music, SAR is completely free and open for players seasoned or new. Gameplay is short, with average rounds taking about 5 minutes or so, so if you fail, you can pick yourself up quickly for the next round. Combat is exciting and quick with easy-to-learn-tricky-to-master balance of weapons and utility items.

Cosmetics are easily accessible, fair and offer no advantage in gameplay (apart from the psychological) and I cannot commend the developers more for having fair monetisation when it's tempting and much easier to cater to the "whales".

All in all, SAR is a labor of love, a paean to simple concepts done good; and good games made great. Completely addictive, fun, cute, deep (yet simple) and I cannot recommend it any more. 10/10
