Lotta salty fanboys so I'm gonna keep comments off on this one.

You'll find that the restrictions placed on free players here are fairly extreme, to the point where the bit that has the fans addicted, being able to use the items you find on runs for grinding even more shiny loot in 'high roller' dungeons, is completely unavailable. The developers have justifiable reasons for their current approach to restricting free players, but it still leaves the F2P experience sorely lacking: Grinding items feels pointless and being restricted to a single character means one of the only bits that's seen development in the last year, the multiple classes, is also somewhat locked. It's been said elsewhere: it really makes this release feel like a demo over a f2p title.

As for purchasing: Right now I'm recommending against, it's a funny little battle royale with some grind loops to keep you hooked, slow paced but with moments of excitement. The PvP really is the content though, if there were no other players I don't think people would play this at all and that content is under the constant threat of cheaters, poor balance and the aforementioned loot divide.

Certainly there are worse ways to spend your time, but asking $30 for a game that's been in worryingly slow early access/alpha development for a year and a half feels extreme to me.

Still absolutely full of 'people' who will deliberately waste your time because they lost at a card game.

I like the game but it has surprisingly poor performance for something so simple.

To all those fans of Idleon who wind up checking this game because of the cross promotion: Don't. Save yourself the time, this game is an absolute misery to play on every conceivable level. This is Idleon through the lens of anti-game design.

Used the time skip item, rewound save a couple of weeks, thanks! Follow up: it completely broke the save file deleting a bunch of random game content.
Coming back after a year has reminded me how painfully tedious this game is, I've never seen a more poorly implemented rebirth mechanic. The game is divided into a bit more than a dozen different section, most of which reset on either of the game's rebirth mechanics, at no point can you ever automate purchasing the upgrades for these sections. Every time you rebirth you will be going through hundreds of different places to click to restore your previous equipment, and since the majority of the bonuses are % bonus increases in other areas there's no point at which you can just start ignoring content.
Late game you are required to complete a series of very slow, very painful rebirths, this combined with the ridiculous amount of clicking involved is possibly the worst rebirth system I've ever encountered in any idling game, and I've played a lot of those.
Bugs are rampant, the game has no respect for your time (or your money if you're crazy enough to give in to the surreal amount of paid upgrades), the menus and interface are so poorly designed that even clicking amongst the "main" areas, to navigate from one to the other, often requires you being in another specific "main" area because that's the only one that actually spawns the buttons to change to the ones you want. Submenus are obtusely laid out and there is essentially no automation so you will be clicking the thing you want to upgrade, then selecting whether you're upgrading or buying a new one, then what kind of upgrade, then finally spam clicking upgrade 1000 times, and you will be doing this for every instance, and you will be redoing it every ascension or rebirth.

Probably the most detailed idling game I've ever seen, very good fun. Review stays negative until pay to win is removed. Here I'd like to clarify what I mean by pay to win and warn people about this game:

There is a gacha mechanic that requires real world currency to participate, the only other participation is a single weekly pull. The top prize is a buff so powerful that it will easily grant you essentially months of progress and put you permanently ahead of any player without it. This prize, even at the system's most generous (which requires a whole lot of pulls to already be submitted) is at a 0.6% droprate, with a pity drop at 200 (that also requires you to make a purchase for the last pull to even be given the pity drop). Yes, you read that right, you are expected to wait 4 years for a game changing improvement, with a system that will stop giving anything but duplicates after a few months to a year depending on your luck.

This system is so abhorrent that I cannot fathom how the developer could add such a thing, the rest of the game is good, with a reasonably generous system for in-game purchases, there is maybe one other 'forced' purchase in the game (automatic pickup of drops so you aren't constantly lagged out by loot) which was already somewhat icky, but this takes the cake as one of the stupidest decisions I've ever seen a gamedev make.
