Beware! PSN Link requirement is still on the steam page! Until it is gone, this review remains. Sony is still actively banning countries, and they never said they were no longer requiring linking. Just that they decided to not continue with the planned update. Sony Must Burn

I do not wish to share my information with a company who has had more security breaches than successful games. Example:

Data Breaches
April 2011: Hackers Access Personal Data of 77 Million Sony PlayStation Network Users
May 2011: Personal Details on 25 Million Sony Online Entertainment Customers Stolen
June 2011: Sony Pictures Website Hacked, Exposing One Million Accounts
November 2014: Hackers Steal 100 Terabytes of Data from Sony Pictures
August 2017: Hacker Group Accesses Sony Social Media Accounts
September 2023: Sony Investigates Alleged Hack
October 2023: Sony Notifies Employees of Data Breach

This is absolutely unacceptable in the modern era. Your cyber security should be prepared for this by now, since it happens like clockwork! not to mention their anti-consumer practices that outpace its peers; including subpoenaing major companies to track down people who dared mod their PS3 until a judge finally blocked them;

They tried to sue everyone
Sony just may have pushed its luck in its balls-out legal campaign to take down the PS3 hacking community, as a judge has denied a motion that would have allowed Sony to force Google, PayPal, Twitter and others to testify in the case. Apparently, after the company's victory in a case against high-profile PS3 hacker George Hotz, Sony thought it could really amp up its attacks. It wanted to go after anyone who had watched a PS3 hacking how-to video on YouTube, bought products online that would enable PS3 hacking, or even spread gossip over the Internet about the subject. Sony wanted a mass subpoena of some of the Web's biggest sites so it could go after such hooligans. Luckily, the Honorable Susan Illston put Sony in its place, denying the company any right to access information from users on YouTube, Google, Twitter, or Amazon. -Gamesradar

Not to mention their newest patent
US20240108262A1
Filed by Sony in 2023; "A harassment detection apparatus includes: an executing unit configured to execute a session of a shared environment; an input unit configured to receive biometric data, the biometric data being associated with a plurality of users participating in the executed session of the shared environment; a generating unit configured to generate, based on at least a part of the biometric data, emotion data associated with the plurality of users, the emotion data comprising a valence value and/or an arousal value associated with each of the plurality of users; a detection unit configured to detect, responsive to at least a first part of the emotion data satisfying one or more of a first set of criteria, one or more first users associated with the at least first part of the emotion data; and a modifying unit configured to modify, responsive to the detection of the one or more first users, one or more aspects of the shared environment."

Sony must burn.
