Simple, adorable, chill, and fun. No stress, no worries, no major dedication, just you, and your own free time exploring a nicely sized island filled with all sorts of other critters to meet, and a sort of plotline perfect for reigniting those old memories of being a kid and just...Running wild to have fun in your own way.

The storyline itself hits home, the feel of a younger sibling missing the days when their older, college-bound sibling is finding trouble sharing time with them like they once did. It's just...Great. Obviously it's not long, but it's so sweet, charming, and fun that I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good little thing to unwind with.

I honestly don't know what people see in this game. It feels so incredibly clunky and thoughtless, with the game catering more to just mashing out supers and RCing them to be safe than doing anything more proactive. Can't play neutral, that's negative bonus. Oki is a pain in the ass because of reversal supers and grab just beats so many things. It just doesn't feel fun to try and do anything in this game.

Losses are easy to learn to cope with, but losing in Strive feels less like a loss and more like just some fake ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ yanked the rug out from under you. I honestly don't know how this game got so popular with such terrible flow and game feel.

I had heard so much good about this game in the past, and upon receiving it as a gift, I was rather excited, and, at first, the game wasn't too bad...Until I started fighting bosses, and just generally progressing further into the game. The game doesn't feel like it has good flow, combat quickly turns into a frustrating slog because the dodge mechanic is so tight that I'm not entirely sure why it's even there when it comes to dealing with bosses and their huge, lingering attacks. There was a point where it felt like my only viable option was to just power level to get armor and weapons from the most recent enemies, then slam a bunch of upgrades into those. I've plenty of experience from playing other difficult games that demand either patience or precision, but, this one doesn't feel like it naturally progresses in terms of difficulty. After breaking through numerous bosses that didn't feel satisfying to overcome, I finally hit my limit during the first introduction to Spindlebeasts, unicorns that completely bypass blocking and armor, making melee builds that don't have reach and hitstun completely useless, and if you're not specced to have decent ranged attacks, then you're SOL, my friend.

It doesn't help that there's no in-game map, leading to a slow, tedious drag of the feet when traveling to places far apart, especially if the area includes constant, clunky platforming, or obnoxious enemies (IE, anything very fast, or with grab attacks) It makes keeping track of where one needs to take key items to previous locations a huge pain. Hopefully you remembered the locked door you ran into one time ten hours ago, and forgot about. The game just overall feels like it doesn't respect one's time, and I'm not really keen to keep trying with a game that just feels like it's purposely trying to get on my nerves instead of providing an actual worthwhile, and memorable challenge.

If you're looking for a good, challenging, worthwhile Metroidvania, or 2D action game, play Hollow Knight instead. It doesn't hold the Souls-like feel, but, it's a game that respects you a lot more than this does.

Absolutely adorable little game about a small spider's adventure to save her boyfriend from a bird.

The game's movement feels stellar, swinging around on webs is a grand old time, and it's fun trying to figure out the physics puzzles in unique ways involving your webbing or navigating the map by making your own path with the webs itself to more quickly swing across it. The game is visually beautiful, the music is soft and soothing and it's just all around fun. Though it's short, it's absolutely worth the 10$ to experience this spider's grand little adventure.

It should be noted that there are some small glitches in the game though that can lead to softlocks. Whether it's moving fast enough to get stuck in a wall because you broke an object and got squished in (What happened to me) or accidentally softlocking a room through switches. I had to edit the information in my save data to get myself unstuck from the wall due to how the game just insta-saves your position. If there's any real criticism I'd have to give the game it's that it definitely needs a reset position button to avoid such problems.

Other than that, this game honestly is a short, sweet little find and very fun. Highly recommended

I personally am not someone who's a big fan of turn-based strategy games. I much prefer real-time, if I'm to be honest, but despite that, I find something about this game rather addicting. It's fun to gradually explore the map and see what's waiting for you, and working your way through the various problems that are destined to come your way. It's fun to build your own leader to tailor things more to your own personal flavor of play, and watch your influence grow over the map.

If you enjoy turn based strategy, then it's a quick buy, and if you're normally someone into real time strategy over turn based, I still recommend giving it a bit of a try.
