This story is a gift and it kept giving

Mix of an auto battler and a simple health/attack card game. It's fun, its replayable, and you couldn't ask for a better casual game to play.

FTL is one of the greatest indie successes of all time.
The minute to minute micro-management gameplay is both stress inducing and rewarding
but the macro strategy and forward planning over the course of the run will keep you coming back to test out new ships, weapon loadouts, systems, and crew members.
There is free DLC called Advanced edition that adds many new weapons and randoms encounters.

I can't recommend this game more.
