10/10 best platformer would suffer again

Beautiful game. The fact that the main story is 40-50 hours and not a minute feels wasted speaks volumes for the developers and writers. Even when there is a lot of time used to travel by horse on a huge map. Wish more games were made like this.

After "clearing" the game 3 times, I can safely say this is one of the most well-done roguelike games I've played. It perfectly challenges you enough to want to keep trying, but even after clearing the game it continues to bring you back. Rewarding you with tid-bits of dialogue, story, weapons, and upgrades. Not to mention the game is visually pleasing as well. There is literally no escape from this game, as I will continue to play on :)

I don't think I've ever experienced a game so unapologetically committed to it's own style that it's almost to it's detriment. But it's not, and it's really a beautiful game through and through. Unfortunately due to the negative view of the game mechanics and length I feel like a lot won't give it the time it deserves, but it's totally worth every minute. Kojima really knocked it out of the park with this one.

I spent a lot of the deliveries just WAITING for the music to kick in, the atmosphere is just so good with it.

Hardest game I've ever played. Constantly telling myself throughout the playthrough "I just gotta get through this once, and never touch it again." I had that same thought process until the second I beat it. Even though I didn't get a bad ending, I have this URGE to get the best ending now that I know the story. I should have expected this since FromSoftware games always leave me feeling like this. No matter how much pain this game has caused me, I absolutely loved every moment of it.

Except for Guardian Ape. I will be looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life.

I don't think I've ever had goosebumps this many times in a single game or movie ever.

Music, gameplay, and story all flowed perfectly. AND it's in VR.

A masterpiece. 10/10
