This is a colony management game set on a fringe planet that is entirely interactive, where the main mission—supposedly—is to escape using a spaceship your colony builds.

The challenge is to maintain daily life in the colony, where every community member has various traits, flaws, and advantages—all randomly assigned.
Some can be great, and some might be completely psychotic.

Alongside managing the colony and avoiding situations that could cause a colonist to have a mental break (a term in the game), the player also runs a kind of low-key diplomatic front with hostile tribes and settlements that might become allies—or at least trading partners.

All this happens based on the narrator that was selected before starting the game.
The narrator represents the difficulty level, roughly, and generates global and local events like a robot attack, nuclear winter, or even pandemics.

Some narrators are more moderate, and then there’s Randy—who deserves to get circumcised every week if there were any justice in the world.
But there is no justice in RimWorld—everything depends on you.

Don't get skinned or eaten! :D

Fair warning - It has become a DLC fest so take that into account and use your own discretion regarding when to purchase.

Tedious rather then engaging.
Stressful rather then hectic.
Everything one might hate about clubs in one go!
That's a very solid no for me and it failed my backwards Acrostic.

The way the titles to the updates and the adds for the game are made is misleading - You don't get to build a tribe like you would in Rimworld, you can only amass a horde of mindless bots.

You don't feel the environment push back like in The Guild 2 - Every NPC tribe lives in it's own bubble showing no initiative or brain.

Yet another "lets use live bait to cover for devs shortcomings".

What a bummer...

Abandoned, thank goodness I've had the sense to refund it.
Some folks are saying that "Total Conflict: Resistance" scratch the same itch this game was supposed to.

Pro:
1. Does what it says on the tin.
2. A very dedicated developer.
3. Disproportionally fun for it's price.
4. Adds content even beyond 1.00 and not turning the game into a DLC fudge-fest.

Con:
1. It's not Kenshi 2.

That one's a keeper but build your own dungeon.

I've just started and was having fun with my friend in a cozy game and were about to finish it when a group of powerful strangers crashed in and basically destroyed us newbies, tearing us a new one.
Devs, you call this fun?
I wish your daughters will have a lot of fun! :D

Don't let other people grab and sell your data - Nexon is doing so even when you're offline.
Suddenly you get higher premium by your insurance company for searching chemo treatment for a friend and you never know why.
GG asshats.

Doesn't bring anything new to the table and the game's execution isn't amazing as well.
It feels as if it's a project that was made for a coder's technical portfolio, a proof of capability to show in a job interview rather than being an actual game that people should enjoy.
I'm not half as good as a coder so I respect that and speak from a point of view that stem from my education and experience as a designer.

I don't mean to be harsh, I also would like to spend my time on games that offer me more than the generic experience.

Since this game is free after all and feels in its embryonic stage I will give a positive recommendation.

It's in the Future.
It has only war.
Does what the box said.

Also - 3 DLCs are free so it's nice that the Emperor protects.

Tyranids ain't good eating so keep yer mouth shut while playing this game.
