They finally are releasing a fix to the poorly developed balance change to gunplay.

This is in reference to minimum/max range.

In fact, they are adding a slider to allow the player to control those values.

Best believe the first thing I'm doing is figuring out what values correspond to the pre-balance update.

Game was good, why did it have to sit like this for 4+ months?

You don't balance a game by forcing people to play a certain way, that will make any game very "un-fun".

If you're afraid of commitment, you probably wont like this game.

If you have crippling OCD, you will love mining the map for every drop of precious metals.

If you're wondering if its worth the price, yes, very much so, its a very unique experience that has (to my knowledge) not been done before.

If you're wondering if you can explore your creative freedoms in this game, yes you can make your own maps and scenarios.

If you are hoping for the exact same experience with the exact same features as every other tower defense game that came before it, then I hate to break it to you, it won't be.

This game hails from a golden age where factor was favored over form.

The best way to describe this game would be: Runescape but with guns and survival elements.
Combat hits based on dice-rolls depending upon character skill levels (finesse, blunt, rifle, etc).
You can build traps and fortifications to slow down incoming attacks on your base.
Clean inventory system, looting sucks but if it were easy, what fun would that be?
Outfit your guys with weapons that are available to you, they will not fire if they don't have ammo.

I don't know why this was never recommended to me, was literally right up my alley.
Had to have a fever dream about this game before I remembered it.

The game that keeps me coming back.

I suppose since I cant manually review each added DLC on their specific pages, I will continually update this review as more expansions are added to the game.

Adds an additional campaign, which should be played after finishing Elysium's campaign, however, I do not believe it is necessary. Adds new tech tree, several new maps, classes, mechanics (both in the Campaign map and in-game), good stuff overall.

For those clamoring about WASD controls, look no further as the UBAS has arrived.

What is the UBAS you might ask, well, its a powered exoskeleton capable of annihilating hordes of enemies with ease, its even got its own unique abilities and can be mass produced assuming you have the engineers available.
If you're playing with a squad, I can say there is nothing more satisfying than a convoy of walking tanks ripping & tearing their way through STROL hordes, it really does bring a tear of joy to my eyes.
Make sure to keep an eye on your energy levels though, as running out of energy in the midst of a horde is not good for your health.

If you enjoyed the original campaign, you'll love what they've done this time around with this expansion.

You could go online and download all these flash games, or you could help support the devs of your childhood.

I'm part of the latter majority :)
