Great game. Lots of game time (40 hours for me) for a cheap price. The gameplay is similar to procedural survival crafting games, but isn't procedural and has a storyline to progress, which gives a goal for the player to continue. It's serious, but there's a bit of humor, which was enjoyable.

They offer a hardcore difficulty, which is the same as the survival difficulty, but without oxygen warnings and perma death. I played the game on this difficulty, which made me excessively cautious, especially after reading up on some of the leviathan-class predators in the game. The most anxious situations appeared in my dreams, but I eventually learned to conquer the primal fears that this game invoked.

The biggest negative is that there are sometimes bugs relating to the physics, which if you are not careful can ruin your game. Another issue is performance, which tends not to matter that much in the way of gameplay, since the actions you take are slow and don't require a fast reaction time.

When I first got this, it did not run. In 2019, it does not run.

Factorio starts off with the player stranded on a planet. The player is surrounded by trees and ore... and vicious bugs, ready to kill. The goal? Build a rocket ship from scratch.

It seems like a daunting task, but with the help of machines, science, and a lot of ammunition, progress can be achieved.

The way the game is played is through building mines, power plants, conveyor belts, and machines to create various products, some of which assist the player in holding back the hordes through ammo distribution, researching new buildings, and supplying the player with miscellaneous personal items, such as power armor. The game is best played by optimizing what already exists in order to expand production further and easier.

The most enjoyable aspects of the game are not building a rocket, though. Sometimes, it is that moment when the player steps back to marvel at their base (or to laugh at, if you build a bunch of tangled spaghetti). Other times, it can be when the player improves upon his skills to create a better base than before. Because what you begin to realize is that the goal is not the real goal, but rather the creation of a wonderful base that can sometimes bring with it fulfillment.

Free, social, and fun. Just jump in and play minigames with strangers or meet up with your friends.

The way this game implements facial expressions is commendable. The customizability of options is also very good.

Overall, the Steam controller is the best gamepad for tinkering with controls. If you want to use your device as a steering wheel, you can set it up in 10 seconds, then tweak it from its haptic feedback to its acceleration. You can branch your configurations off of popular ones, those which have advanced functionality added (e.g. In L4D2, the D-Pad touchpad maps to virtual button pad for selecting weapon), and have controller that is perfectly tailored to YOUR needs.

As for the quality of the physical hardware, I was pleasantly surprised, as some negative reviews seemed to look disfavorably thereon. Yes, it is made of hard plastic, but it feels just as uncomfortable as any mouse or keyboard out there. How else can it cost the small sum of $30?

My performance in first-person shooters is sub-optimal, as I prefer the mouse and keyboard. However, I prefer the controller in non-competitive games like Portal 2 Euro Truck Simulator 2, and even RuneScape.

This is a controller that puts the power in the user, and is a perfect example of the customizability of PC gaming and the true glory of the PC Master Race.

Verdun is one of the few World War I games out there. It provides excellent first person shooter combat, combining realism and action. There are many different classes and squad types to choose from on both sides of the war (Central Powers and Triple Entente). Note that this is an indie game and will have a few connectivity or graphical issues, but nothing that significantly hinders the game.

Overall, this is a very impressive game that is well worth its price tag to anyone remotely interested in historical combat.

This is the ultimate grand strategy game focusing on the realistic possibility of a history that never happened. If you take the time to learn the game, the strategies, and the vocabulary, you will find yourself feeling not just great, but power-hungry and ambitious. Also, the soundtrack is absolutely beautiful. I have the entire soundtrack downloaded to listen to whenever I want, even though I have never liked medieval choir music before. Prepare you and your family (whom may hear many tales of your new dynasty) for the totally-engrossing, brutal, medieval, political simulator that is Crusader Kings II.

The campaign of this sequel is just plain repulsive. Not only are characters dulled, but there will be spouts of intense challenge, where one may be repeating the same action at least five times until he gets lucky. The campaign as a whole feels incorrect and biased; it causes more disgust than fun.

The multiplayer is OK due to more mechanics than the single player (???) and a good modding community. However, I believe some servers on this game's multiplayer are perfect examples of how over-modding can ruin a game.

All in all, this game doesn't come close to the first Call of Duty and its expansion, although may fair better against more recent Call of Duty games (not much of a challenge there). Don't be fooled by the improved graphics. It just isn't better.
